Just spoke to a mate whos a stock broker in Barcalona and his boss used to play football with Ledley as a Kid, anyway dont worry Ledley aint going to Barca he was just having some small check up done to his knee, my mate spent the whole evening with him and Diao of Stoke out on the Raz in Barca and Ledly told him he is all fine for the new season and is rearing to go! i will try get some pics from him if anyone interested. I believe this source to be true as it came from my best mate who has no need to lie and is a fellow yid supporter and he told me the words came from the king himself, and it wouldn't be the first footballer he met cos of work he met Wayne Rooney last year at Dubai's 6 start hotel and i have the picture to prove it

King staying fit. He would singlehandedly mean 10-15 goals less conceded.

I know many people won't accept this, but I don't think Woodgate is that much worse than King. I think they are quite even in ability..

In which case it's essential that we keep both of them fit.

Any bets on a King to barca story in the people this sunday?

Woodgate and King are very very very different type of defenders.

Woodgate:

pos:is great tackler, good head, intersepts the ball well

neg: no nonsence defender (Good and Bad) (dosent play the ball when he can, gives away corners which could of been prevented ect.)

King

pos: fast, great delivery, good positioning/marking

neg: always injured

If...and for me it's still a very big if...Ledley can stay fit then I think him and Woodgate would be one of the best centre back pairings in Europe and if we get a decend keeper in behind them and a decent defensive mid in front of them that would be one hell of a spine to the team.

Far too many ifs in there at the moment but here's hoping!

Cheers for the info yiddodiddodo

I agree, and I'm not comparing, that is why they would compliment each other so well.

I was just saying that I do think Woodgate is almost as good as King, if not as good

They'd be a bit slow, we chatted about this last week! :)

What news on King. I was on a flight to Barcelona with him on Tuesday.

Naturally I just giggled like a child and didn´t say anything:oops:

:shhh: Don't say things like that here, he'll be off to the Nou Camp next :-(

Do we really need to see more pictures of Leds out on the lash?

If he's in Barcalona for a check up how does he know he's fine for the next season? Surely if he was fine, he wouldn't need the check up. Anyway, here's hoping, praying, keeping my fingers crossed, touching wood etc etc etc.

Well if he flew out there a week ago then I presume he's had his check up and knows he's fine

I would be happy if King and Woody are playing together for 40% of our matches next season; King pairing with Daws for 10% and Kaboul 10%; Woody with Kaboul 20% and Daws 20%.

We may not have to buy another CD if the story that King is fully fit again is true.

With a fit King and a happy Berbatov we are really not that far off having an excellent starting 11 (New keeper and Defensive midfielder perhaps)

Still for the sake of season long success we will need better strength in depth I'd imagion, maybe the likes of Zokora and Steed being turned from starters to squad members my have this effect.

King being fit and Berbatov staying would be the best news we could have for the new season.

Woodgate is an awesome defender, but like King has had alot of injury problems which has had a massive effect on his career, im sure if he had been fit at Madrid he would still be there. His transfer fee would have been more like 15 million for him instead of 8 million(?) if he had stayed fit. We have taken a risk on him but fingers crossed he will stay fit now.

A fit again King would be massive for us. If i had the choice between Berbatov staying, it would def be a fit King.
