I'm guessing he no more than grazed it while sliding to celebrate a goal in training. Although after his run against Arsenal I doubt he scored.

If it's a throwaway line like that, probably minor.

He said, hopefully.

Yeah, I'm not so sure. I think their journo made it up. I've seen absolutely nothing written anywhere else so think we're OK.

As tRIKS says above, I heard he was rested. That was certainly what the BBC website, Sky Sports website and Radio 5 Live were all saying last night.

Unfortunately, because of the rumours over the last couple of years, King won't ever be able to miss a game without some lazy-arsed journalist writing shite about him.

this is getting too commonplace.

i confess to having been suckered in to believing the rumours before, but since then he has made his comeback (and was still rumoured to have been injured after that!).

i'm not believing this one and await ledley to play against arsenal in a week's time (he'll be rested for sunderland too i imagine, just to have him raring to go)

definitely rested.

Didn't some two-bit paper come out with this stuff when he was rested against someone else recently?

That article does contain a quote, but does not say to whom it is attributed.

Bollox

Eh? 'Ramos rested Ledley King because of "one or two problems with his knee".'

That's clearly a Ramos quote. Only someone being wilfully awkward would claim that wasn't attributed.

You might not like what he said, but you can't deny he said it. Unless, of course, the Guardian made it up completely. Which seems unlikely.

yep - the quote is quite clear - it was a risk playing King v Chelsea - that was 3 games in a week - let's hope the gamble doesn't backfire

if Kaboul is injured there'll be pressure to play King on Sat - just hope he only plays if minimal risk

what's happened to Rocha - he's surely fit - presumably not rated?

Yep I heard through a source that he's ruptured his posterior ligament. Should be Ok for Sunderland though with a bit of R.I.C.E.

Def rested.

Suprised that the headlines this morning havent been that Berba was in Manchester signing a 4 year deal.....

Hate the press.

i do belive king is still troubled with his knee, but that is because he has been out so long with problems and still cant play so many games in a short period of time, but i cant see him being out of the team long, dont think there is anything to be worried about by him being rested agaisnt reading
