Gallas and Nelsen have both looked much safer than Ledders has in the last few months

Hope ledley can recover some form because it is all looking rather sad right now.

For the rest of the season Id have Gallas and Kaboul, with Nelsen as first backup and Ledley as emergency (and maybe for the FA Cup Final?)

Kaboul/Dawson/Caulker has to be the first choice 3CB's (2 starting one bench) for next season. If Gallas can maintain his current levels of fitness and form we'd better sign him up as the wise old head as well.

Ledley is gone, and needs to retire immediately so that we and he don't have to suffer his tragic decline any longer.

I am devastated to see Ledley as he currently is. A shadow of his former self. If that decline continues we might as well just play Luka Modric at CB and be done with it. It'll make for the same results...

Much as I regret it, I think Ledley is slowing down and coming to the end of his wonderful playing career with us. I hope he will stay with us in another capacity but if I have to make a choice, it will be Gallas. Not on a long term basis though, we will need a younger quality replacement in the not too distant future.

Sentiment doesn't win games.

The poll is very close at present and it will be interesting to see how it changes.

Really sad to say but I hope he doesn't get another playing contract. I would love him to stay on as a coach though.

ledders is a legend for all of us, but i'm affraid he is finished as a footballer. every game he plays he seems to be getting slower and slower, and even his reading of the game seems to of suffered this second half of the season.

our biggest mistake this season was not getting Samba or Cahill at the start or January.

I want a coach on merit, giving someone a job as coach because he is a club legend doesn't work for me, to many jobs for the boys IMO.

Just hope he bows out with some dignity while he still can. Not being as fast as he was would be just about excusable if his positioning was any good and he even made an attempt to close down opposition attackers. Gallas may not be spectacular but at least he's playing like a PL defender.

Ledley's last few games have saddened met TBH. I just hope now that he retires while we can all remember the player that he was and not the player of the last couple of months.

Would love him to stay on at the Club in some capacity.

Remarkable how he's managed to get another 4/5 yrs out of himself and still keep a really high standard. It just shows what a complete player he is/was. That his physical limitations have been overcome so profoundly that he has still been as good as anyone playing at CB in the prem for the last 4 yrs is a testament to his intelligence as a defender and knowledge/reading of the game.

However, he's finally losing the fight. Father Time is knocking and before his time. It's frightening to think how good he would have been thes last 4/5 yrs or so at his peak with his health. Still been a truly world class player and I'm glad I witnessed him playing for us. I think that from next season, I won't be. I feel sad for those fans who won't have the chance to see him play.

I voted Gallas to play the role of Old Mother Hubbard next season.

Against my username, I voted Gallas.

I would hate it if Ledley King played on and got boos.

I agree 100% with Misfit.
