Were QPR is for him?

Maybe he was crap in pre-season so they're playing someone else? Either way, just because he's not starting today doesn't mean he won't get plenty of game time the rest of the season.

He hardly played and he was also voted rb of the season over norwich's rb last year

Stupid move Warnock would of helped him alot more imo, when he was talking about walker, he was talking about what walker needs to do before he moves to the PL and how he should work on certain aspects of his defensive game

Perhaps we feared his confidence and value could be destroyed at QPR.

more and more clubs put wide men on the opposite to their natural foot. its a natural progression that clubs will start playing full backs the same way.

Fabio is right footed. You going back a decade to find a player that fits proves my point. He's a right back.

Isn't Fabio a left-back (who can also play right-back) and it's his twin bro Rafael who's the right-back?

I thought when we got them both that Naughton was supposed to be the better player than Walker, although it aways seemed odd that we splashed out on to young right-backs at the same time.

Maybe our philosophy was always going to be see which ones does better and sell the other?

I still like the look of Naughton though.

I was referring to Naughton with that comment.

But regarding Rafael and Fabio. They're both right-footed, Rafael has played exclusively on the right. Fabio started on the left but has since overtaken Rafael in the pecking order at right back - hence him starting the CL final and other such important games.

I think that was more to do with Fergie sticking to the same team that played so well in the CL Semi-Final.

I'm pretty sure Rafael would have still been the first choice right-back had he not been injured this season.

Interesting that Fabio is right-footed but has been mainly used at left-back - they really are the new Neville brothers!

Rafael still has those discipline problems, can't risk him against Barcelona, he'd be sent off under thirty mins.

Thank God we value his development instead of making a few extra thousand

Naughton made one error slipping over and got up ran over and pulled the player down getting a yellow! Looks like he is going to get better and better
