Crikey.................

I love the guy, but I don't think his career is going to be a lengthy one.....

Seems he has a lot of niggly injuries, and maybe he has thought about that too and it's why he left us to join RM.....so that he can fulfill his dream now in case he doesn't have that option in a couple of years?

Not often you see Barca with less possession than the opposition.

I genuinely think that is a historic moment - yes Barca won, but that absolutely fundamental philosophy of ball possession which they revel in, which has defined them for the last few years has been broken. Vallecano have the 2nd most possession in La Liga after Barca so it's what they do too, but remember Barca absolutely dominated Bayern last season who also crave possession.

I've not seen much La Liga yet, but I know that Martino is a bit more pragmatic and not afraid to get them playing slightly more direct, albeit still retaining the possession is everything mantra of Barca - but this to me is very much a surprise. To complete so few passes and surrender 55% of the ball - unheard of.

To be fair I always preferred the Ronaldinho era of Barcelona, rather than the stat machine of recent years.

Has Neymar played much yet?

Barca are more direct this season and their pressing the ball better.

Right now Neymar is playing as a yes man per se, doing a job for the team and not stepping on anyones toes.

Interesting way of looking at it. Could certainly have been a consideration. Bale is a fine footballer that even without his blistering pace I still think he's function at a very high level. Him game will have to be massively different though when his hamstrings do go pop properly.

Neymar is recovering from a bout of anemia - illness, not the weed..but match by match he is getting better and looking more in tune with those around him.

Barca need a defender or two though...

One of the worst, most inept refereeing performances ive seen in the real game. I think Real must have paid his mortgage for him, horrendous.

The machine Ronaldo digs Real out of trouble with a 96th minute penalty. Sickening.

Had a few pints and it's right after the game, but if u can watch the Real highlights. Ronaldo scored a free kick from a non foul, Ramos should of seen red and Real given a penalty for no reason whatsoever. Makes the whole league an absolute joke, Real were shit. Gives me so much more respect for the English game.

Sorry for the rant!! Maybe someone less pissed can upload some of the highlights.

Yes I am actually mortified by what I have just witnessed in the Elche Vs Madrid game. I have not seen worse ever. This is as corrupt as it gets. I would boycott football if I were an Elche fan. If Madrid does not get an unfair advantage enough from TV revenue and bank bailouts, they have the 12th man if needed. This means even if they are completely inept with their extravagant and undeserved wages - the La Liga officials will make sure they are still within Barcelona's sight.
The ref apparently gave Barcelona a last minute penalty in their last match too.

And they say refereeing in England is bad! Pepe had the defenders arm trapped under his and someone get awarded a penalty! Don't get me started on the "foul" for the free-kick that put them one up.

BTW, how shit have Madrid been this season? I know they've 16 points from a possible 18 and hammered Galatasaray in the CL, but they've been outplayed in nearly every game I've watched them in so far.
