Problem is they have been practising ball control with one of these . And a flat one at that

I tend to agree with the Levy/ENIC part, but mainly because they seem to have tried absolutely everything.

We've now even got to the point of giving an elite manager and elite RWB as asked and the first appearance was a disaster (I know one game means nothing but it seems very typical of Spurs).

Out of interest did you ever watch much of Poch at PSG?

In Pochs defence, one of the biggest qualities of his strategy is pressing from the front.

Yes, Poch has flaws with tactical aspects but I dont think you can judge his time at PSG fairly. Even Galtier is struggling a bit with it and he's more tactical.

Lol, I saw the score. Bet it was fun in here.
Without having watched the game I will say this of the line up. When playing a reserve keeper, your best cb is missing on the right so you're reduced to playing someone who is not very reliable, plus you are away from home... this is not the best time to start a new player who hasn't got 1 min of pl experience.
Maybe all the goals came down the other side but if I was Barnes (who I think is massively underated and we should bust a nut to sign) I'd have been rubbing my hands at that defence.

He'll be better BUT he's always been a poor defender. Everyone - including all the Spurs PodCasters and journos - seem to think Wing Backs don't need to defend. They absolutely do - especially in our 3-4-3.

Emerson Royal has been brilliant for a month. Massive part of the reason we were keeping clean sheets. Awful decision not to play him. I expect some Spurs fans to be clueless about a players relative strengths but I don't expect the coaching team to make the same mistakes.

Those three were one of the main issues today.

Also their decision making and execution was dreadful.

Sad, people will get on the Levy thing again but every one of the players were terrible, Kulu, Kane Son, Porto. 1-11 they were shite and that is on them and the manager.

I just have no idea what they were doing today, almost looked like they'd been drugged.

The Conte system is set up to be defensive but our quality is only in attack. Against City they played to our strengths and didn’t test how fragile the back line is.

We cant sit back and counter with this team because we have nothing to start the counters with. Now imagine a back like with Romero, Toby and Jan, sit back all day, teams will struggle to get the through them and they can distribute properly to our attackers.

The only way we win anything this season is if Conte changes his system and sets us up to attack from the start. We need to score as much as possible because we’re going to concede most games.

Because they were isolated. Too often, the ball was played into them without any real prospect of them doing anything with it.

Toby & Jan would struggle in this system because our midfield is so easy to bypass. Our two get torn to pieces by the oppos 3 time and time again. The 3 central defenders are sitting ducks whoever they are.
