Huge result for us.

This is the only "top 6" team we've beaten this season - prior to this the best team we'd beaten since May was probably Brighton - so it'll be such a massive confidence and morale boost for the team as we go into the 2nd half.

Also probably our most complete team performance in the season too. Not one horrible half, one good one, finally.

It's a Bank Holiday Weekend here in Ireland, I'm retired anyway but a good excuse to tie one on tonight and not be worried about getting up in the morning.
MOTD2 is getting recorded.

Grealish’s whole game is just about winning freekicks. His productivity is pretty poor especially playing in that city team.
He would be the dream player for Tony Pulis’s Stoke team or Big Sam. In many ways, he would be great for us.
But for Man City to seemingly prioritise signing him over Harry Kane is really really odd.
In fairness, the season before he signed for MC, he was absolutely running the show for Villa and putting in some class performances.

The draw at Chelsea springs to mind but it didn't give us the big kick on I hoped it would

I don’t know about you guys but seeing the stadium at the end gave me chills.
It really felt like a moment. We looked like a big club, we looked. ready, from fans to players!
Although conte weren’t there it felt like it was also for him. 3 year + conte let’s hope so.
if the stadium is like that every week it will be a fortress

Decent result that but from what I recall Chelsea shat all over us that game - maybe their last good performance under Tuchel - and it was a miracle we came away with a point. Real smash and grab.

In contrast we fully deserved the win today.

They did - which makes it great for me.

Yeah well I think it's ridiculous. Emerson has been really good on the right, so your answer is to disrupt both sides, because one side isn't functioning as well?
It would’ve been fine doing this tbh but it worked out fine keeping it how it was.

I'm so pleased to look at the bench and see fresh legs that don't see a huge quality drop. I don't think we've had this luxury since the start of the season.
Yep makes a huge difference, also means the XI we put out can completely go at it during the game with high energy knowing quality players can come on in their place rather than having to conserve energy the whole game because have f all on the bench.

If we can keep most key players fit now on we could have a tasty 2nd half of the season ?

Don't know if posted yet but we must have the best record of any side against a Pep team ever.

Spurs vs Man City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium:

✅ 18/19: Spurs 1-0 Man City
✅ 19/20: Spurs 2-0 Man City
✅ 20/21: Spurs 2-0 Man City
✅ 21/22: Spurs 1-0 Man City
✅ 22/23: Spurs 1-0 Man City
More than 10% of all his managerial losses, over his entire career, have been against us

I genuinely didn’t think we would win today. Lovely surprise. And it was no smash and grab or good fortune. We were the better team. And what a way for Kane to get the record. The winning goal in a 1-0 win against the Champs.

They must hate playing us away.
