Worth a punt by the sounds of things. He can't be worse than our current bunch.

@Dinpomp your inputs greatly appreciated. He looks a good striker but then, its Spurs. Whichever striker we seem to buy always ends up a dud. Only exception is ofcourse Berba, who went got out at first opportunity.

Whoever we get, I just hope they start scoring some goals. Its been 6+ years we have had a decent striker in books.

Give me him, Kovacic and Srna any day.

If Srna was playing for a top club, he'd be rivalling Lahm as the best full back in Europe.

Isn't this guy meant to be available for £4m??? It's a no-brainer, granted, the competition looks a little weak in that league but he still shows that he can do the business. Looks like a pacey Berbatov, plenty of tricks, and a great eye for goal. Him and Kane could easily be our strikers for another 5-6 years, and you would think he would favour a move to the BPL instead of the Serie A, build his international prestige.

After all is said and done, as well, I think Modric would still speak highly of us.

No. He was probably more than half of that a season ago. But now he's more likely double. There were some erroneous reports about him having an expiring contract, but that's not the case. He had a 2 year contract with an option for 2 more. That's why I mentioned his value has skyrocketed. It's still not a crazy transfer fee, relatively speaking, but compared to where he was a year or two ago, it is a big jump.

Definitely not in the mold of what Poch wants as his line leader. We would have to fit Kramaric in the 3 behind the striker.

Latest reports saying Chelsea have beaten Spurs to his signature. Groundhog day.

Daily Star [pinch of salt] but some quotes at least.

It is honestly becoming disgusting, the way Chelsea are oversigning and accumulating talent. The majority of the players they have will never get the opportunity to play for that club, and they are only losing to opportunity to play for another top tier side. It truly hope another young talent isn't making the same mistake.

Would generally say it's a hoarding technique, but then they've got Drogba who'll probably retire, Remy and Costa as realistic striking options. So it makes sense for them. We have three first team strikers, with at least one leaving at the end of the season (I'd have thought) and no one would judge us for buying another.

Di Marzio speaks, but doesn't mention Spurs:

Kramaric, bursts Juventus: the situation

21/11/2014 - 16:27

Gianluca Di Marzio

A shining jewel, which is casting a spell on the whole of Europe: Andrej Kramaric, the Croatian striker born in 1991 in Rijeka. Goals repeatedly, most of the games played: 29 club and country. And the market goes crazy for him. Chelsea follow him with interest, is the hottest club abroad, surveys also Stoke City, Borussia M'Gladbach and Italy's Fiorentina, Sampdoria and the two Milan. Some approach, but no one has accelerated as Juventus are trying to do in these last days. Contact real and concrete of his club is with the father of the player with Rijeka, in search of the agreements. The agreement in principle with the player would also have been achieved, yet the distances between the two clubs: the Rijeka calls on the ten million euro. But Juventus, before investing with determination, he wants to be thoroughly convinced of the quality and complete profile Kramaric. Things to come, because there is a major blitz of Guild Thursday in Rijeka Rijeka-will be played Standard Liege, the Europa League. For a definitive judgment on the guy. Juventus would not want to spend more than six million Euros plus bonus, but would be willing to negotiate. Ready-off, negotiation Juve-Kramaric has begun. Ready, perhaps, to take off.
