Kane will hardly touch the ball tonight - we will be completely reliant on Lucas in transition to get us forward - not Contes fault - its all he has got to work with …

Interesting line up that
Hard to see what Contes plan is here, maybe keep it tight until the later stages and bring more attackers on?

This is not Tottenham , the DNA levy spoke about has been lost . I’m sure Conte is a very good manager but I can’t watch this team anymore with any excitement, it’s George Graham football . Where’s the creativity and spark , it’s just 9 workhorses and 2 strikers . Play Gill ffs and give the opposition something to think about , I look at the line up and I just think caraboa cup away to a league 1 team .
Agree completely. I have been saying this for many years and more fervently since Conte took over. But it’s cloggers football. Maybe he thinks the defence is too weak to play flair players, that’s what I’m hoping. And once we sign more defenders we can sign flair players and play them. Another part of me sees us going for another workhorse in Traore and I feel this may be the type of player he wants.

I’m not saying the sky is falling as many in matchday threads do. Conte is doing the best he can with what he’s got the only change I would make is Lo Celso into the midfield. And that’s only cuz he’s the closest thing we’ve got to a creative mid right now

Feel sorry for Conte, he’s crying out for help with the tools he has available.

The silence doesn’t bode well for this window.

New manager & same old problems they face (the lack of quality in the squad)
Sick to the back teeth of ENIC and the excuse wagon - pray for the day they finally sell up (wishful thinking, I know - but I'll clutch on to any glimmer of hope right now).

It’s a 7:30 kickoff so I’ll can get to bed early. Just seen the team. I’ve got the beers ready. So I’m all set. Watch the game at home, have a little cry and then to bed.

I'm actually happier with that formation than the 3-4-3 we've been playing, should in theory have a bit more control of midfield and more space for Kane & Lucas.

Some of the personnel leave a lot to be desired but not much Conte can do about that.

Is one thing to play with that midfield 3 if the full backs offer a threat, but ours are so wasteful it is untrue. This isn’t going to be pretty but hopefully we can get the result.

Glad harvay Barnes isn't starting he could cause problems. Concerned about the pace and trickery of Daka and lookman. On the brightside might get few opportunities with their defence if we get out of our halve to attack ?

Come on. If you've seen anything of Juventus, Inter, Italy or Chelsea under Conte you'd know he absolutely doesn't play "cloggers football".

He's doing the best he can with the squad he's been given.

And Traore isn't a "workhorse" any more than Saint-Maximin is.
