BBC are talking about Sanchez to Liverpool. What a joke. I am sure he is not leaving the goons to join another bunch of no hopers.

That's just Lawro.

"There is a fella at Arsenal who wants out called Alexis Sanchez, that would be very interesting if Liverpool decide to go for someone like that," says Lawrenson.

"If you can get Sanchez, and you have already got Virgil van Dijk, then that is good business, probably good business for everyone."

Oblak will cost a fortune surely?
Im sure he would, but Liverpool seem to be spending money left right and center these days. Oblak himself said he didn’t know what will happen after this season. It seems to me it will be all change at Atletico very soon. The departures of Griezmann, Simeone, Carrasco etc have been looming for some time and it seems this summer might be the one. We shall see. Ether way, I’m sure he would cost almost 100 mil but he is young and easily one of the best on the world. I wouldn’t put it past Liverpool to just throw money at him as everyone knows it’s a massive weak spot in their team. Hopefully someone else comes in or they feel it’s too rich even for them. But IF they somehow manage to get him they would become a significant force.

They will only be a force if they sort out the defence in front of a good keeper too. Klopp can't do that. He signed Van Dijk for an astonishing amount of money but he's not going to fix everything. They still have dreadful full backs and Matip beside Van Dijk is quite frankly a very average centre back too. I don't think I see Klopp ever sacrificing their attacking impetus for a tighter defensive set up regardless of who they play either. And we all know that's never going to win them anything. They don't know how to manage a game when they're winning they just jeep attacking and that's why they keep conceding goals and will keep on doing so too.

I don't see anyone paying £100m for a keeper. £70m at best. If De Gea went to Madrid the fee would be in that area.

He was a very good player, nothing more than that. It's hardly like Beckham going to Madrid or Henry going to Barcelona, two players who were idolized by many. I swear someone like Paul Scholes never got this much adoration when he retired. Not like sky to go ott with a Liverpool player though is it.

Some interesting rumours about Clyne flying around this evening.

*alledgedly* he's not injured :cautious:

I still can’t understand why they got rid of Reina, one of the worst decisions in recent years from any team.

Is it just twitter though? Anything even slightly reputable reporting it?
