TBH, is Salah really that great now? One season wonder, no? Suddenly some reports are mentioning him along the likes of Ronaldo ffs.. Without pace his attributes are not that fantastic.

Yet Kane has been golden boot for consecutive seasons and people keep putting him down saying with much to learn, and never reaching the heights of Ronaldo. Disgusting.

He's been brilliant this year. The big difference between him and Kane is that he plays on the wing, much like Ronaldo used to. People shouldn't be slagging off Kane, but we shouldn't use that to say Salah hasn't been sensational this season. I wish we had him here.

Ref booked him at the time so its seen as dealt with, if the ref missed it he wouldve got a ban retrospectively which is a daft way of dealing with it imo.

I think you only get the retrospective ban only if you gain an advantage from the dive. If you're booked during the game you obviously don't, but if you got a penalty or a free-kick that leads to a goal then you'll be punished afterwards.

It's not about being Spurs biased, I think Salah should be punished and I think Alli should be punished for his dives as well. It's one of the worst parts about the modern game IMO it's something that fans are universally against but players just are determined to keep doing it.

Anyway, presumably he didn't get one for the reason Gb160 mentions above, apparently you can't be given retrospective punishment if the ref catches it during the game.
