Started following club football religiously like everyday on forums. I started looking at this board then but didnt register.

I've been watching it on tv since the 2010 WC and i have explained that in the past and i think it was to you.

Tim Sherwood was a terrible manager and a gooner(by his own admission). Those are the facts.
The gooner part of it is totally irrelevant as far as I'm concerned. Defoe is supposed to have been a gooner growing up but he put in years of service for us.

Apparently not interested in the Palace job now because he wasn't first choice. Not being funny, but when you're running against young guys with the managerial experience of Malky McKay, of course you're not gonna be first choice. Maybe Nuneaton Borough will come calling or something.

He sounds very petulant there. We already knew of his arrogance, but to throw your toys out of the pram because Parish didn't jump up out of his seat at the end of the job and offer him the job on the spot is ridiculous. It's not like he's a seasoned manager with pedigree. I thought he did quite well, with a group of full internationals, but he has no experience of managing in a dogfight.

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

If he keeps turning these jobs down the the phone might just stop ringing.

Do I know if Sherwood has what it takes to become a good manager - no

Do I know that I strongly dislike him because he is an arrogant, self-serving moron? - yes

He's been appointed Director of Football at Swindon...they've been struggling in league 1 so have brought Timmy in to save them.

Good Luck Swindon!

Oh joy. More pages of hatred for Sherwood. Who says that we bear a grudge?

I don't believe it's so much as bearing a grudge, more an acceptance that the trajectory of his career path - Tottenham, Aston Villa and now Swindon - appears to be downward.

This was him at his press conference this afternoon: "I'm coming here to help out.......it needs tweaking.......we might need to flip the page a bit". He really doesn't help himself.

I hope he does OK at Swindon, he just reminds me of that games teacher Morrrisey sang about, jealous of youth and regretting every life decision he ever made on approaching middle age (or am I thinking of Nigel Pearson?).;)

Apparently he has final say on team selection as well. Who the fuck would want to manage a football club where Tim Sherwood picks the team for you?

Weird I thought he was going there as manager.

Why on earth would you appoint a DOF who then has a say in team selection?

Always ends in tears, he'll be the proper manager there soon...

He does seem to have strong Swindon links as used to like sending our youngsters on loan there.

He's big mates with Lee Power, ex Norwich player - owner and chairman of Swindon.

Although the rumours of Red Bull taking them over might change this.

ah the memories of when we sacked him and sky sports news were screaming we had got rid of a "great British manager", and then came all the friends of Harry confidently predicting Spurs would "regret" letting him go.

and to this day sherwood is still relying on his mates network to get him a gig

They should have just made him manager, this is absolute nonsense and I've never known a situation where a DOF who interferes in team affairs works...
