Really hard to take that seriously. They have trended that after every single loss since he was named interim. They’re literal 2 year olds who have this warped belief they are entitled to every trophy ever. Perhaps that’s why they get along so well with the scousers:cautious:

They have a great squad and a below average manager. Get someone serious in and they will threaten for the league.

This whole ‘bring the glory days’ back is a load of folly, Fergie won 38 trophies as a manager, including 13 Premier League titles, 5 FA Cups and 2 UEFA Champions Leagues, between 1986 and 2013.
Their league record in the 80’s could quite easily have read how ours was in the 90’s or 20’s, the only difference being they got lucky with fergie just when Sky decided to throw cash at football and Mark Robins saved his bacon.
Prior to fergie joining they were a top ten side and if you look at the historical trophy count up until fergie joining we really weren’t that far behind them.
Fast forward 35 years and it’s an absolute chasm, I remember back in the late eighties when Michael Knighton was going to buy them, they certainly wouldn’t be banging on about bringing back the ‘glory days’ if Knighton ended up in charge as it wouldn’t have happened.
I don’t think there’s much point in talking about them as if the 90s didn’t happen. They’ve been the biggest club in the country for the best part of thirty years.

There’s no denying that they are currently underachieving, and it’s in part down to having an average manager.

And don't forget the 90s were 21-31 years ago. It's long enough ago now that yes, you can talk about the 90s as "harking back to the glory days". 35 years since Ferguson took over is a bloody long time, it's a period that spans a whole quarter of the existence of the Football League.

Fantastic squad but yeah OGS is really out of his depth tbh.

He’s foruntate he has some top class players who win the games for him.

He’s also fortunate that the MUFC voices in the media are mostly former team mates of his who don’t want to criticise their old mate. If that wasn’t the case I doubt he would have lasted this long tbh.

He would've been sacked in the January before they signed Bruno at the very latest if the media hadn't been full of his mates.

I just don't know what kind of team they are.

Versus Villa they were bossed on the ball and had to rely on counters.
Against Villarreal they looked like a team who lacked defensive organisation but got lucky.
Today, they had loads of possession but didn't really do anything with it.

They don't really have a style or pattern to their play. It all seems a bit 'let's see how it goes'.

They are lucky they have the quality they do in attack because without it they'd just be similar to us and Arsenal.

I do however think Ronaldo's entrance has complicated matters. Greenwood was firing before he came and starting to shine, has hardly scored since. Sancho needed to come in and understand his place in the team whilst also feeling like he was the main man. Yet they've essentially done everything to pander to Ronaldo and I think it's having a detrimental to the rest of their attackers.

Imagine what a top coach could do with that squad. So much talent.

May the Ole reign continue.
So true ! Their squad is insane, hope they keep Ole at the wheel, not that we are anywhere near them right now and we will be competing for lower mid table not top 4 or title.

Most my man.u fan mates haven’t warmed to Ole at all and don’t think he’s up to it

Ole very clearly isnt up to it at United. That has been clear for awhile now. But honestly, I just dont think it will work at United even if they sack him now & get in Conte. Yeah they had to go & get Ronaldo when it looked like he was going to City. If only to avoid another few fan blockades of the team bus & the ground. But I just wonder if they’ll secretly look back on that Fergie call with regret. Ronaldo is a great goal scorer but im not sure if he has evolved enough into being a team player which he quite simply has to be as he isnt that guy anymore. He left Juventus as he wore out his welcome there. They didnt shed any tears at him leaving. It was good for that dressing room & their financials.

They probably would've been better off now if they had signed Ings & Bissouma, but they most likely won't win a major trophy under Ole anyway.

Watching United is like watching us. There is no plan, no organisation, lacking ideas. With their squad this is dreadful by Ole.
