I can't tell if it's intentional, but would Carroll have been aware that Chico was bending down like that and running towards him when he swung round? Also if you look at Chicos arm it also swings out to the side and hits Carrol in the stomach.

No chance. He turns around quickly because the ball has gone in that direction. He hasn't gone for Flores in the slightest.

It's funny because it's West Ham and Andy Carroll..... BUT, it also shows how inconsistent referees and the FA are. Worse elbows to faces have gone completely unpunished and horrific tackles have gone through as just yellow cards.
In this incident the reaction was worse than the action.

We'd be pissed off if it was Adebayor or Soldado who had been given the suspension.

Agree with all of this and as you said the inconsistency is the issue.

I can imagine this is going to drag on and I can sort of see where west ham are coming from. It's not a red card and yet they have a player who is now missing for 3 games and that could potentially cost them a place in the premier league.

However if they do take this further and win then this is going to open a huge can of worms.

Looks like they've upheld the original decision. I'm not sure it's the right decision but I'm pleased that they didn't change their minds.

At worst I think he might have tried to give him a little slap in the stomach but it certainly doesn't look like violent conduct.

Lol. I am so willing the pikeys to go down.

Dream scenario with the Olympic Stadium is for West Ham to go down and Orient get promoted. Barry Hearn will have a field day :)

In some cases the F.A would extend it to a 4 game ban for an unsuccessful appeal, looks like the felt sorry for them.

I'm sure Sheffield United would have a whole load of sympathy for them if that happened.

There must be a shortage of brown envelopes at the Boleyn after them getting the Olympic Stadium.

Presumably they'll be using a significant chunk of the sale price to reimburse the public for giving them a stadium?...

If they walk away with a new stadium and 70 mil to the good as well, it will be an utter f***ing disgrace, talk about FFP, this makes a mockery of justice to every other club.
