They’ve also appointed Billy McKinley his record is below
Seriously how can this guy get a job with a PL club.I wouldn’t even employ to coach a school team,Absolute farce.
McKinlay was appointed as Watford first-team coach, under head coach Óscar Garcia, on 26 September 2014.[7] McKinlay replaced Garcia a few days later as head coach, after the Spaniard resigned due to suffering from ill health.[8] McKinlay relinquished his role as Northern Ireland's assistant manager after becoming the Watford manager.[9] After just eight days in the job, McKinlay was replaced as Watford head coach by Slaviša Jokanović.[10]McKinlay had taken charge of two matches, a win against Brentford and a draw with Brighton.[10]
On 27 November 2014, McKinlay joined Spanish club Real Sociedad as an assistant coach, working alongside David Moyes.[11] He was sacked, along with Moyes, on 9 November 2015.[12]
On 30 November 2015, McKinlay was appointed as manager of Norwegian Tippeligaen side Stabæk Fotball on a two-year contract.[13] McKinlay resigned as manager on 8 July 2016, after being knocked out of the Europa League by Connah's Quay Nomads.[14]
McKinlay joined Sunderland as a scout, initially under Moyes, in 2016. In October 2017 he was promoted to a temporary first team coaching role by manager Simon Grayson when assistant manager Glynn Snodin became ill.[15] Following Grayson's sacking, McKinlay and Robbie Stockdale were appointed the club's joint caretaker managers in November 2017.[16]
Knocked out of Europa Cup by connahs quay nomads my favourite,Pretty sure that’s a pub
Read it properly and he doesn't really have a poor record as such.
Watford - he was appointed coach and then the manager was forced to quit a few days later.
He took charge for 2 games while the board found a replacement - 4 points out of 6.
Likewise not sure there's much to moan about with regards to his time in Norway. The club have never made it past third qualifying round of any European competition. That league, other than the top 2/3 sides is on a par with the Welsh Premier League, which is what Connah's Quay are in. Worth noting that the Norweigian season runs April to November, in terms of matches, he was only in charge for 3 months before he quit.
Sunderland he was a scout, nothing more initially, then Grayson appointed him temporary coach a month ago. Grayson was fired - not McKinlay.
Therefore the only real negative against him is his spell at Real Sociedad with Moyes.
