As other forums are currently debating this I've put up a poll to judge public opinion on here. I think the outcome is going to be very predictable but we shall see.

Stay. I'm sorry others don't see it the same way because I think he's been fantastic for us even if he's made mistakes as well.

Yep, its time for him to go. We've had stability now for over half a season and if we don't keep changing managers and chairmen, we are in danger of consistency and that will only lead to success and we don't want that now do we?
What would we have to moan about then?

Stay off course.

If Keane and Berba are a bunch of Judas bastards, that's no fault of his!

I'm sorry but this is a totally ridiculous question. How can anybody older than 6 consider this seriously.

Rob
Can you tell me the last time we had a chairman that even came close to making us a great football team and profitable at the same time ?

We are both at the moment.

I really don't understand this stream of whining and negativity. We need a couple of players. Big deal. We have a huge kitty and are sure to get them sooner rather than later.

This is the best spurs squad that I have seen period (I'm 42). Even better - as a squad - than the81/82. The first 11 is close but as a squad it's now. And I know it will get better in the next two windows.

We were a whisker - even according to your own ITK ("The goat understands that Arshavin is done bar the medical") of having a forward option of Pav/Arshavin/Bent/(Campbell). Aded to a defensive options of Gomes, Corluka, Woodgate, King, Glberto, Hutton & Bale and mifield options of Modric, Bently, Huddlestone, Jenas, Zokora, Dos Santos, Lennon, Bale.

Plus about 30-50 million to spend next window.

How the F can anyone with a memeory span longer than 6 years not appreciate the position we are in.

ok im gonna get quite a bit of bad rep for this but i dont give 2 shits

levy done well in getting us this far but he should go

this transfer window has been a joke to say the least, ok we have bought in some real quallity in gomes, modric, dos santos and big pav but we have sold our 2 prize assets and have basically not touched any of our 40/60 million war chest we had to start with, his decision's have been more about money than football i.e haggling with the fee for arshavin allegedly 1/2 million. we will never make the step up with this wage cap he has on the club and the sooner we get a very rich owner the better, we are tottenham hotspur football club not tottenham hotspur plc.....sorry me levy money in the bank doesnt win us games

i am envious of city (never thought id hear myself say that) buying the dinho and we end up with campbell....spurs owe me 6 hours of my life back as i was religiously watching ssn waiting for a massive name to replace berbs and we got fkin campbell

i see your point but having the money to spend next window is halfway thru a season wich is un acceptable. year by year us not making cl is risking losing more talent...bale, modric, dos santos, pav! it was now or never as far as im concerned and its looking alot like never to me

I hope you don't get bad rep. It's your opinion and you're entitled to it. But i think you should think again and not with your heart but with your head and not compare where we are to an ideal but in the context of what else we can do given who we are and not who you imagine we should be.

I think he should stay for sure, he is atleast trying his hardest to do the best by the our club....even when things dont come off.

The only thing I will say is if an investor with the clout similar to those who have taken control at City wished to buy us and turn us into 'the biggest club in the world' I would be seriously torn as to what is best to do.

Behave chap,

It's not Levy's fault that we had Keane suddenly spring on us that he wanted to leave, but he did, and then we got 20mill for him that we were going to use a large portion of to bring Arshavin to the lane, we just got screwed over by Zenit being even more stubborn than we can be., even when we agreed to pay the overpriced fee for Arshavin, we were told it was too late.

It's also not Levy's fault that Berbatov was angling his way for a move up north last season, running his mouth about how any player would love to play for a team like man utd blah blah, then Fergie comes in and unsettles him even more, causing him to throw all his toys out of him pram until he gets his own way. Would we really want a player like that around our lads anyway?

Money in the bank doesn't win us games, you're right, but having a team of lads all happy to play for our badge, enjoying themselves, creating a buzzing atmosphere around the ground will get 100% effort out of all of them, thats what will win us games.

well i know we are tottenham hotspur football club and i know we have a great history and are a big club........big club that hasnt ever made it into the CL has a wage cap so cant attract world class players. the way levy is working things just isnt working......we are alot better off than the sugar days but like martin jol levy has taken us as far as he can......sell up to a very rich man and let us sign world class players like robinho, villa.

money talks

...sooner we get a very rich owner the better, we are tottenham hotspur football club not tottenham hotspur plc.....sorry me levy money in the bank doesnt win us games

Care to explain this conundrum chap? What's the relevance of a rich owner if the owner's money (in his bank) won't help us win games?

You can't have it both ways. If you look at our spend (outlay) this last window you will come to the conclusion that we were up there amongst the top four big spenders. That is considering the fact that we don't draw Champions league renumeration and our stadium can only be ranked as average for its capacity, compared to The Emirates or Stamford Bridge or Anfield or old Trafford, those clubs we vie to wrestle fourth spot upwards from. (*breathes)

Then if you look at our income from player disposals, according to the Board it basically within a couple of million pounds, nets out.

The fundamental conclusion is that we have improved the quality of our squad as well as reduced the numbers of our first team squad for little outlay net.

It allows our Management to consider how the first team will perform up to the January window before dipping in to strengthen where our performances require.

Mr Levy is a businessman, but he is also a Spurs fan. His business decsions have taken this club forwards to where we find our club after years and years in the football wilderness.

The business plan cannot afford a Chelsea -like power play - our club is growing and strengthening in the traditional ways and long may it continue.

We must not sell the soul of Tottenham Hotspur.

a very rich owner gets us players like robinho, veloso, arshavin!

well considering ramos has had half a season to judge his squad and makes a few signings to improve it only to have his plans ripped in half when he wanted things settled before kick off. what i was getting at is we cant afford to wait half a season to get who we need we needed them now! pissing about with zennit over a few poxy quids has cost us big time...also veloso too.

we needed to replace keane and berba we couldnt so dont sell them they were under contract ffs! we have been crying out for a holdind mid for 2 years and have failed ............

jog on levy you stingy money grabbing whore

Stay. i Hope he, Ramos and Poyet will stay for a long time.
Levy has managed to make us one of the most financially stable clubs in the prem while at the same time we're one of the biggest spenders over th last few years.
