So many on here will hate it cos they hate the man but it's gotta be Redknapp imo. Certainly had his faults but got us 4th twice, playing some of the most entertaining football in the league at times. Probably let go at the right time though.

Jol comes second for me.

I like Pochettino, lots to prove but hope he turns out to be the best

Harry. No contest.

Harry>Jol>Poch(subject to change)>AVB>Hoddle>Ramos>Santini

I don't count Pleat or Sherwood. Both interims (not matter what their titles were).

Clearly Redknapp. Anyone who says otherwise is letting their dislike of Harry the man cloud their opinion of Harry the manager. He wasn't perfect, but he's by far and away the best we've had in the last 20 years.

Jol for me as it felt like the good times were coming back with him - although they actually arrived with Redknapp and our CL adventures.

Harry's a good shout, but I'd actually argue for Martin Jol.

- Biggest increase in ppg of all managers over their predessors
- Took on a squad of about 2 dozen players assembled by Arnesen and turned it into a decent team
- Was in 4th position from Christmas until last day of the season, when Lasagnegate put us into 5th position.
- Achieved 2 successive 5th positions - 5th was the best Spurs had achieved for 20 years
- First foray into Europe for many years - and got 6 successive wins, something never before achieved

Whilst the quality of our squad has improved enormously since, other than one season in CL, and one other 4th position we haven't really bettered our PL position since Jol's time and nor our finish in Europe.

Harry is definitely the most successful manager and he did take us to the promise land

However Jol takes it for me, he nearly got us CL with some shocking players. We were robbed that season.

Another honourable mention Ramos, beat Arsenal 5-1 in one of the most amazing nights at the lane and beat chelsea 2-1 to win the carling cup. Bringing our only trophy in the last 10 years

Redknapp and Jol are the only ones that qualify. Ramos some would for the cup win, but that is more than equalled out by the disastrous situation he left us in, in my opinion.

With Poch it is far too early to tell.

Harry was a great appointment as he was exactly the right person to pull us out of a relegation battle. I don't think Levy would have anticipated how successful he would be in the seasons after that, so I'd say, like Jol, the success of those appointments was largely down to a slice of fortune.

For me, Levy's best managerial appointment was (and stick with me here) AVB. I know he ended up delivering some of the most tedious, negative football I've ever seen at the Lane, and brought in some dross like the ridiculous Paulinho, but I'm talking about the appointment itself - not the aftermath.

With the squad we had, I thought the appointment of AVB was exactly the right choice. Young, had worked with the best, had something to prove after Chelsea, had experience as a scout, had a great reputation across Europe, and had an identifiable system and 'philosophy'.

AVB's inexperience made him a bit of a gamble, but I felt (and still feel) that it was a gamble Levy should be commended for taking, even if it didn't pay off.

Poch has already lasted longer than a few of Levy's managerial appointments...

AVB was the worst, the guy had totally lost the dressing room of his previous Club.
