Great line up from CJ Murray above.

I think we can win (or draw). Of course, i have been as pessimistic of our chances here as for any game in recent times, along with every other Spurs fan i speak to BUT Liverpool have won seven games in a row now.
Teams just don't keep winning.
Keep things tight, don't attack because they love to counter and they could get anxious and we can hit them on the break.
It's time to upset the odds!

That's the line that I was peddling last season with arsenal, law of averages etc. but look what happened, law of averages decided to apply itself after the season had finished and the new one kicked in. How spurs-ish.....

I wonder who Sky will have as pundits for this game. Jimmy Tarbuck, the Liverpool mascot and Sol Campbell I reckon.

I really like CJ's line up as well....only decision would be Dembele or Paulinho. If the former was at his best I'd go for him, but either way I'd be content enough.

Pressure does change things and although Sunderland stifled Liverpool well you could sense the expectation at Anfiled. We've been victims of this as well in the past and it can really have an affect.

I love the idea of condensing everything in that area outside our box.

Rodgers might well plump for Sterling though - over Coutinho...he's been choosing one or the other lately, as he'll know our weak link is at full back.

That said, at WHL, Naughton was at LB and Sterling pummelled him.

All in all I think we can frustrate them, but we have to make sure our set pieces are better in this game as they're definitely vulnerable to them.

I'm just hoping they don't score in the first 10 minutes because if they don't I feel we could do ok if they do I fear the worst

We play the high line like we did in the first half vs Southampton they'll rip us apart. Watched the first half last night and until the first goal Sunderland defended deep and restricted Liverpool to long shots.

This game will be a lot closer than the White Hart Lane. The key for you will be midfield pressing. Packing the middle of will frustrate us but we will still be comfortable.

The game last night against Sunderland was one of our worst performances of the season with the assumption of the game being won at 2-0 and lazy passing. I dont think this will be the case against you.

I can see it being a high scoring draw which wont be good enough for either team.

I'd just pack out the middle, all of our fit wingers are shite.

Lloris
Naughton Kaboul Vertonghen Rose
Bentaleb Sandro Paulinho
Eriksen Chadli
Adebayor

Spot on. Unfortunately, it appears that our manager doesn't agree with you about our wingers. I think we're more likely to see

Lloris
Naughton, Dawson, Vertonghen, Rose
Bentaleb, Sandro
Lennon, Eriksen, Townsend
Adebayor

Or he may go for the 4-4-1-1, with Lennon playing as the Number 10, Townsend on the right wing, Sigurdsson on the left wing, Eriksen back on the bench.

I doubt whether anyone can actually guess what line-up Sherwood selects.

I wonder if Fryers may not be a bad choice? I know he's got his doubters, would he not be familiar with Sterling from the national U21 team?

Hope Mr Dowd sees right through the Suarez falling over antics. Watched the Liverpool Sunderland game and he was on the floor every time someone came within 6 inches of him.

He always is. But Brendan's PR campaign about how Suarez is a 'changed character' seems to have worked and he gets away with everything now.

If Sunderland can go there and keep their fans on the edge of their seats into stoppage time, ffs can we just please not capitulate if we concede early. Go up there and give them a fight. Got absolutely nothing to lose at this point besides our pride.

A win, or a proper fight, could just be the psychological difference in the home stretch between us and a possible run at overtaking Arsenal. Slim chances for sure, but they'd certainly be helped out a bit.

Plus, we know how a good end of season run can feed into the beginning of the next season.

This graph just goes to show the importance of strikers which makes it even more of a joke and that we went so long without properly investing in one, especially not signing one for our CL season.

I think we're going to get our arse handed to us on a plate.

Well you've certainly more reason for believing that than I do for my prediction!

That said, I just think it will be much tighter than people think - providing we don't play a high line, we do that and you'll definitely be proved right.
