Against any of the top six away from home i'd take a point.

We all would.

Poch has used this system at home and away and without Jan and Rose is was bloody obvious he would set the side out like this.

I know it was obvious, I am simply saying I think we have the personal that would allow us to keep playing the other system.

People are being ridiculous. 4-2-3-1 is the formation we played the entirety of last season as we finished 3rd, and the 3 at the back quite clearly isn't a valid option without Vertonghen and Rose. Man up ffs.

I'm looking for a bar to watch this around Wembley stadium/arena. Any suggestions?

Head to Watkins Folly, just down from Wembley Park tube opposite McDonalds or the Crock of Gold which is left out of Wembley Park tube next to the Costa.

They're OK and will have the game on, there isn't a great deal of choice round there and the others might not have us on telly.

Those complaining about 4231. What are the options guys? Davies does not have the athleticism to fillfil that role.

I really hope we captialise with lucas in their defence but he's a wily old cat.

Nervous for this but COYS....last away game against a top 7 side....

Dier Toby Davis with Walker and Son as wing backs. Before you argue, we are playing Davies and Son on left today anyway.

Half the people in here just don't understand the system Poch has to use against the option he could have used with a fully fit defence to pick from.

Go on then, who would those personnel be?

I think we could play Dier, Toby and Wimmer in a back three, Alli and Kane and Eriksen up top with Wanyama and Dembele Central and Walker and Son coming off the wings.

This system we are playing today plays right into pools hands and will likely stop us offering any attacking threat against the press, that's why we were having such success before, we became less predictable with the other system, why change a winning formula?

Without denying that Liverpool have a strong team, I believe we are capable of bagging a long awaited win at anfield, but to do that we'll have to play at our best. Would be a massive statement of intent if we'd get the win. COYS

In reality, the only option with a 343 with the current players available would have been Trippier at LWB at Davies in the CB3 but that would have been very risky and off balance. Not worth the attempt in a league match against Liverpool.

No problem with 4-2-3-1 given Vertonghen and Rose are out.

However I would of beefed up our left side and started Sisokko. Despite not setting the world a lite, he can put in a shift like he did ar OT and against City at the lane.

Our off the ball work.will be crucial in getting a result and our left side looks light. If I were Klopp that's the side I'd be targeting.

Surely just Swapping Vertonghen for Wimmer ?

12 months ago, sure. He's looked miles out of his depth this season when called upon, for whatever reason. I'm all for letting players play into form but not away at Liverpool against a team cram packed with pace and movement.

It's not that long awaited. Pretty sure we won at Anfield about 4 seasons ago.

Son offers nothing defensively and you want to start him where he's never played at Left wing back? At least here he has Davies behind him.

Ok so then simply just swap out wimmer for vertonghen and let Davies take over from Rose in the same formation.

Brilliant, people reckon we going to "get raped" down left hand side as son doesn't track back.. then suggest solving that by playing son as Wing back!!!

They have central midfielders at left back and centre back! Anyone would think it was us with a midfielder at left back not an international !
