It doesn't matter if we are second bottom or second top - The performance is fucking shocking, surely it's not to much to ask for some effort, fight, battle - if you're gunna lose at least make a fight of it, make the other team work for their victory ffs

I thought Poch might have realised that we have to change our approach to the big games after City. It's so obvious that we need to move the ball forwards faster and keep passing between our defenders to a minimum when the better sides come at us and press us.

Need a big change in the second half.

This is spot on, there's only one team that look like scoring when we're passing it around the back, and it definitely ain't us. Shocking stuff, so disappointing.

And then the one chance we had and Son fluffed his lines.

I don't think anyone would complain if we came out with intent to play. But when we come out like fucking school kids. Why Bother?

If only Pochottino hadn't told Son not to support Davies and fuck up a one on one with all the time in the world and Dier to fuck about with it until they take it off you.
Defence definitely out of whack with its left side missing but its still not over yet.

I don't think Davies suits the way we want to play but I honestly don't think you can blame him for that half. Dier, Wanyama and Son have been worse.

Poch should be blamed for not adapting to the needs of this game.

That was a catastrophe and I thought we'd grown out of it by now. Davies is having a Spurs-career ending performance and wanyama's gone missing for long important parts of that half. Combined with poor tactics, rather than poor formation, it's been a Valentine's present to Liverpool. We should be playing longer and targeting Lucas, like they've targeted Davies.

I'd welcome any changes at half time, maybe sticking Sissoko on the left with a remit to get in manes face and race up and down that wing with him.

Still other than those 2 mins of madness we are somehow still in this game. Hopefully Poch can see whats needed at HT and put a rocket up the players

Jenas just nailed it in one with his analysis.

Said we don't look like we've approached this game with the respect it deserved. That we've strolled around with a lackadaisical attitude.

Can't argue to be honest.

Davies, dier n wanyama main culprits 1st half. But dier did redeem himself with a good display after that

The big concern with losing this game is that it leaves us only two points clear of United in 6th place. We have three competitions with fixtures in the coming weeks and a squad that is very thin from an attack perspective. Kane, Eriksen and Dele are going to have to play two times a week, most likely, moving forward for quite some time and the worry is both burnout (see the last two seasons) and injuries could crop up again. We really could use Lamela back ASAP.

On the bright side no one will be coming for any of our players or manager based on this half. Lets at least not lose the 2nd half. COYS

Problem is we are 2-0 down now and that suits their style of football perfectly. Mane will be licking his lips.
