Need some answers. Even if Poch doesn't see it players like Toby needs to sort this out. How can you leave a slow left back 1v2 against mane and clyne?

This should be 5-1 so that is one crumb of comfort that somehow we are still in the game

Desperate times call for desperate measures.. Maybe sissoko should come on to help DaviesDavies

Tottenham Tottenham Tottenham. Back to 2 points separating 5 teams.
Should do a poll whether we are a looking like a title race team or not.

Sigh

Wish we had SC matchday chat managing over Poch. They always can spot any tactical error he do. Let's just forget that Poch himself said 2 weeks ago that we change formation dozens of times every match. But today Davies (among many other) have a shocker so we get murdered so it's Poch's fault.

I can tell you right now if we fielded 3 CB's including a poor Wimmer and Dier with say Trippier on the "wrong" wingback position we would still have getting murdered today.

It's nothing to do with that - it's the fact that we're playing so far up the pitch against a team literally designed to press us off the ball and get in behind us.

Every other team who has played Liverpool recently has sat back and hit them on the counter. That's the mistake from Poch - and literally everyone can see it.

It's completely inexplicable why he's got us playing like this today. The arrogance of it actually makes me angry because we could've easily adapted but we never ever do.

It doesn't necessarily mean we'd suddenly be winning 3-0, but it would've at least given us a better chance.

If Poch hsd set up in any number of combinations it would not have matteted a shit.

You have to have desire and dicipline and neither of that was evident.

So formations are irrelevant in football? Should be even bother having a manager then?

The players have had desire, they have also had discipline, you can have both but it doesn't matter a jot if the other team have your number and know your weakness.

We have played directly into Liverpool's hands.

We're 7 steps behind them every single fucking time the ball comes out way. It's just rinse and repeat, chance after chance after chance for them.

It's embarrassing how bad we have been so far. Wrong decisions all over the park from our players. We'd be lucky to get out of Anfield with our pride at this rate, let alone a point.

Had all week to prepare for this, we go to two games a week again soon assuming Genk don't turn us over

The problem could be solved with putting Winks on for Son and going 4-3-3. He could hopefully help us keep possession more and create the goals we need to get back into this.

Why the fuck Son doesn't just square it for a kane tap in I'll never know.

Plus his tracking back has been embarrassing.

Since we beat Chelsea our momentum has completely died. The same happened when we beat Man city and went on that run without a win. It makes no sense.
We cant capitalize on anything for our lives. We are mentally small time, in reality. We dont know how to act like we belong. That is why we need winners and experienced leaders in this side.

Very rarely do I criticise Poch, but today it's at his door. Been saying all week.we can't go with the same team that played against Boro, we'd get raped down our left.

Yet so many people saying you can't drop Son. It's not about dropping anyone, it's about putting the needs of the team first, and with Davies being a weak link in our defence for this type of game, uber press and pace etc, the priority should of been protecting him - the obvious choice being the muscular work horse Sisokko, not the erratic and slight Son who doesn't often show much desire to defend for the team.

At a tough place like Anfield you do not invite them on to exploit your weakness, which we've done.
This was always a game that required an approach to nullify their strengths if we wanted a positive outcome.

It's like we havn't thought about it one iota and given our key injuries I just find it utterly bizarre.
