Baffles me how Daws would reject this move.

-He is not going to play here
-He will play every week for QPR
-Will play under Harry who likes him
-A few of the lads he'll be familiar with
-QPR could give him a decent pay packet
-London

It doesn't make any sense for him to want to stay here. That's what's most annoying about it, it's in no ones best interests, not in the clubs and not in Michael Dawson's either.

Why would you assume he'd play every week for them? Are they gonna drop Caulks or Ferdinand?!

Or are you assuming Glenda will implement 3-5-2?!!

Maybe we're waiting until after the weekend so the players can't play against their old clubs.....?

Not too keen on this. Sounds like a decent deal on paper, but is it that good really? Hes going to want at least a 3 year deal on somewhere near 100k a week, is injured a LOT, and has just failed a medical at Liverpool. I know he can get goals but I'm just not sure its a safe investment.

For £3m and an unwanted player taking up a squad place? Great investment imo, kill 2 birds with 1 stone

If we are in for him is it:
as a centre forward - and therefore replacing one we have already?
or...
as an outside forward - thought we were hanging on for JR to come in January?

(Sorry if that's all been covered already - still working my way through the thread!)

I think it's likely a bit of cover for both. He would definitely give us something very different up top given his pace and ability to get in behind a backline. As for out wide, he really could play on the RW (yes, RW) and give us goals while Lamela is in the middle and Eriksen is on the left. Either way, he provides us with a direct option at both positions of need and can provide goals. While I'm not sure how he will fare being not quite the #1 option in attack and the ongoing muscular injuries, I think he does make sense for us if we want to compete across multiple competitions.

I can see the logic in that IF it's a signing that our new coach has asked for. He just seems to have been linked with us for too long for that to be the case and.. well, we all know how too many of those kind of purchases end up.

I would have liked to have thought by now that Dawson had got the message. Guy has been offered out for two seasons and still wants to stay. Gotta admire that I suppose even though he seems to be holding up deals which is making him a tad annoying.

Relative to the amount of funds available Everton will have been very ambitious in this window if they manage to bring Remy in. Spunking £28m on Lukaku is without a doubt ambitious. It's making a statement that they are not Everloan any more.

Although we've bought well we haven't shown much ambition yet.

With Lukaku they just used the Felliani money from last summer. No new spend.

With Dawson hopefully heading to Hull can we please offer Kaboul and a couple of million for Remy?

What? Great, we could potentially see three of our PL 'hardened' CH's all at once (Vlad?) and get in a couple more maybe that have no PL experience at all. Dier and Verts as our 2 senior C's until MM turns up? Sounds a good plan ;).
