Looks great but I just don't see how you'd sign a top Lyon player without a massive media circus from Aulas. We saw it with Lloris and Ndombele. Pretty sure Newcastle had similar with Bruno too.

Until I start seeing French media links I'm just not going to start getting my hopes up on this one.

Where have you seen he's available for 30-40m? I actually haven't seen where his rumoured asking price is.
I’ve seen both €50 and €40 mil mentioned, tbh I think he’s worth that. He’s Brazil’s main playmaker. I’m trying not to get my hopes up but would be a fantastic signing and make a lot of sense if we are going for Richarlison.

Not sure the links to this guy are enough to get excited about . itK is thin in the ground . More a pipe dream I would say .

though he would be a incredibly exciting signing and give our midfield something that ain’t there. Proper flair and the ability that we don’t have central to break teams down in tight games

Alli mentioned him again??

He's the only journo mentioning the name. So either he's heard something or just throwing names about, which does not sound like the type of thing he does.

Him along side Richarlison would add such depth and options to our attacking line.
Maybe a way to throw in Tanguy as a sweetener.

THe more highlights i've watched, the more I want to read the opinion of every Brazilian on SC. His highlights suggests he has the "it" factor which would free up space for our forwards.

He mentioned him fleetingly in a list of names. Don't thinkits anything major

They want 51m pounds for him. Not sure how desperate Lyon are for money, and whether this can negotiated down a fair bit.

Would love to see some solid ITK on him or Gvardiol. They would both be top tier signings.

Paqueta especially would add a level of class going forward, would be able to play in a midfield three or either of the wide forward roles. I just don’t see how this would get done without Aulas trying to drum up a bidding war with Newcastle. So the lack of news here probably is damning. But fingers crossed.

I think the fan base (me included) really want movement on Bremer, Gvardiol and Paqueta...but I think the noise is mainly from that, rather than anything concrete.

The broadsheets are not really running with any of them to any degree, and that tells me quite a lot. Let's see, but I'd actually be pretty surprised if we ended up with any of them.

Aulas would probably ask for a big fee for him. Think I saw €55m euros mentioned.

I'm not sure I've got the stomach for a transfer with Lyon this summer. Inter have been hard enough work, let alone dealing with Aulas. But at least we know now how he likes to play things out in the media (basically ignore anything he says!)

Yeah he's a strange one. You know a deal is close when he publicly declares otherwise!

Aulas & Levy are actually very well acquainted!

Haven't we had ITK before about a mutual respect between Levy and Aulas - how they operate in a similar way and know each other are just trying to get the best value for their club?

WLB said on 17th June "He’s not as bad as reported him and levy believe it or not have respect you pay aulas his price he keeps to it"

And I'm sure I've read similar things during other times we've dealt with Lyon.
