I know I keep banging on about it but playing AFTER them for about 8 of the last 12 games or whatever it was and 3, FKIN 3 , Monday nights on the bounce made a massive difference imo.
It was the difference between them going into a game with just a 2 pt lead rather than us chasing 8pts.
Imagine we'd played before them just 2 or 3 times near the end just how much pressure they'd have felt. Would they have bottled a 2pt lead if they had to claw back 5pt gap for 1,2 or 3 games on the bounce? I doubt it.
Those fixtures were a fkin disgrace, bordering on corrupt and as I said at the time if any of the big hitters go into a title challenge and that happened there'd be a fkin riot. Well the PL just wouldn't dare do it to be honest. It stank.
When its down to the wire like that you should really be playing at the same time. Obviously TV won't allow that but at least swap it around every week. Leicester playing before us EVERY FKIN WEEK for a month and a half takes the piss.
Would the same thing happen to Man U with Maureen or Fergie in charge? I think not.
It's things like that where I'd like our manager, whoever it may be, and even Levy to stand up and publicly shout from the roof tops that this is bollocks and not on. The big boys would have and do when they think they're being shit on. We just keep quiet and thats why it keeps happening.
Think some fker has it in for us when it comes to fixtures because we ALWAYS seem to be playing catch up even if we're not in Europe.
Anyone who thinks when you play doesn't make a difference frankly doesn't know what they're talking about imo.

I never understood those 3 consecutive Mondays.

Us throwing away the title is something that keeps getting thrown at me by opposition fans.......can someone point out to me the point at which it was in our hands and we lost it? As far as i recall we were always chasing, and as it turned out, even if we'd won all our matches in the run in we still would have been second......it's all a bit weird to me and people seem to be making it all sound much worse than it was just to embelish our downfall.
When we let the lead against Arsenal slip.
Hold on to the 2-1 and iirc we would have had things in our hands. Ah well.

Karma is a beautiful thing. I remember Arsenal and West Ham fans laughed at us non stop over the lasagna thing. Fast forward a few weeks Gerard smashed their chances of an FA cup and Belleti put Arseholes to the sword in the Champions League final.

Mahrez will feel an idiot when they finish mid-table and I'm still waiting for Spurs to do Chelsea big time ever since they won that champions league

That wasn't Chelsea's fault. That was UEFA's stupid ruling. Chelsea had a right to defend the trophy, while we also earned the right for a chance to qualify (finished 4th so still not in the group stage). I hate Chelsea as much as the next guy, but they aren't to blame for that. It just happened to be them.

You're right, it was Bayern who couldn't finish the job who are to blame.

I would agree with you except every time we've had the chance to go top with a win or put some real pressure on we have epically choked.

Having the right to defend the title shit was nonsensical. They won the Europa too, but still qualified for the CL - how come they weren't duty bound to defend their Europa League trophy?

Because the CL supersedes the EL. Of course the winners should automatically qualify for the next year's competition, there's nothing wrong with that rule. It's just shit that we were the team that lost out because of it, and even worse that it was because of Chelsea.

Leicester were the pick last year by the media, nobody wants to believe corruption exists despite the abundance of evidence in the past that it does.

Of course, that wouldn't happen in the premier league though would it? lol, the fixtures made no sense, it was a complete joke.
