Utd beaten again today,the further they fall behind us the better as regards us getting top 4 place.

In recent times, I have dreaded going to City. This time I feel a certain air of optimism. I don't know why, but I think we can take all 3pts. I think Kompany might not be match sharp after so long out, and we have a certain strength about us these days. City don't play well against teams that put pressure on the ball, and if we can pressure high up the pitch then I think defensively they will struggle, conversely if we allow Silva time on the ball to find Aguero, then we will struggle, personally feel we wont allow that to happen. For me this game is pivotal, win this and then next prem game is at home against Swansea. It could be 6 points, and I see the gooners drawing against Leicester. I really feel (along with Leicester) that we are in the form to mount a serious title challenge. In all my 40 years of loving this club, I have never seriously taken that consideration on board. COYS!!

Well it's a very unusual moment in football. I find myself hoping for both Spurs and Arsenal to win tomorrow. That would leave us both 2points behind Leicester, a small gap that can be bridged if we do well.

MCFC would be 4points back and utterly demoralised and without leadership. A three way race for the title with Spurs looking great value to finish strongly.

Best run in I can remember, title in play for first time since,...

Our nearest rivals neck and neck. What's not to love?

Be lucky to get a point tomorrow, they will raise their game against us, in a way that they didn't do against Leicester. ****s.

For tomorrow.....with apologies to the Bard

"He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
Will stand a tip-toe when this day is nam'd,

And rouse him at the name of Tottenham.
He that shall live this day, and see old age,
Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,
And say "To-morrow is Saint Valentine."
Then will he strip his emotions and show his scars,
And say "These wounds I had on Valentine’s day."
Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot,
But he'll remember, with advantages,
What feats he did that day. Then shall their names,
Familiar in our mouths as household words—
Harry the Kane, Toby and Hugo,
Eric and Christian, Danny and Moussa
Be in their flowing cups freshly rememb'red.
This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Valentine’s shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that shares his support with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in all of Britain now a-bed with City, United or Rovers
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not of Spurs,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That sang with us upon Saint Valentine’s day."

Bit too liverpool for me, mate. But like your positivity.

I never could understand Shakespeare Tbh. I am sure that your effort is both commendable and complimentary

A draw will do us best I think. With our goal difference, if they have a three point lead on us, for all intents and purposes, it's practically only two.
Disagree. A win will do us best! Whether or not we can is a different matter

I think the Good Doctor was talking about the Arsenal-Leicester match.

Haha, yeah... there isn't really any circumstances where I think a draw would ever be the best result.

"Lads, I need you to go out there and play for the draw. 3 points at this stage of the season would dick things right up."

How about if we only needed a point to be league winners and our opponents needed a point to avoid relegation with the Woolwich going down instead?

Not a feasible situation this year, I realise.

Very tough game, very tough game as Man City will want to have something to show after last weeks defeat to Leicster. In fact, it is so tight, I am not going to predict a result... I will predict that doctors are already at my house, preparing for what will be an endless stream of terrifying heart attacks....

Whatever happens though (as long as I am alive), I will be proud of the lads for what they have achieved this season so far. After all the praise I am reading in the papers, it feels like we are being bigged up for a fall, the typical Spurs. For once however, I don't think that will be the case, even if we lose, we have more than enough for the run in to the end of, what is a brilliant season.

I just hope that those on this forum who generally turn the match day thread into an embarrisment remember just how good this season is and if we do lose just remember how good our future looks.

Do you not want us to win the title?

Personally I'd rather have a gap between us and Arsenal at this stage, I can see Leicester dropping points elsewhere in their run-in but I'm expecting Arsenal to go on a good run after they're impending Champions League exit. They usually do.

Do people think it's may or something? I'd much rather Arsenal get battered by Leicester and I'm confident they are more likely to struggle than arsenal during the later parts of the season.

Perfect day would be a demoralising defeat for both City and Arsenal. If we are to compete I'd much prefer a two horse race.
