OK, it's from tribalfootball which everyone knows is one of the most shit websites but the comments from the goonersaurus seem to be from the sun.

I think he's being a tad premature and possibly doing some damage limitation for the woolwich nomads incase they have a bad season, but he does say "I'd be convincing them (Spurs) there is no reason not to target Arsenal. They must be ready and push for fourth place if the Gunners slip up.
"It's a massive ask and fifth would be a good achievement for Tottenham but they must be ambitious in light of the talent they've bought."

I don't like graham - but he is right on this.

Boring.

It doesn't matter who we overtake, all we've got to concentrate on are our personal aims. As long as we meet our aims, get in the top 4, the scum can finish 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 11th, 20th, 34th, 68th - it doesn't matter. Taking at very least 2 points from them this season however, now that is something that does matter regarding the scum

All about consistency this season for me. If we beat the teams we should beat, win the games we should win, we will do fine. Then next season we can push on.

I do think we could finish in the top 4 but we would need to get off to a fantastic start and all our signings would need to hit the ground running

yep consistency is key even to finish 5th or 6th so to finish 4th is going to be a big ask but we definately have team capable of it. I'd love to win the FA cup against arsenal at wembley .. that would be amazing.

I'm just glad that oozing, corrupt, miserable, anti-football, balding piece of woolwichery is no longer anywhere near our club - and that when he does visit, him and his fucking inspector gadget coat are kept in the quarantine of the TV studio.

we have no chance over overtaking them. wish people wouldnt build us up in the media. bcos of last years poor league placing, i was looking forward to us going into the season wih a little less expectancy/pressure; regardless of signings.

Arsenal are a much better team than us. It will take us 2-3 years of consistency within the ranks to overtake them.

their TEAM is better too. I'm not talking individual players though

if the arsenal were so good they wouldnt have blown the title last season. yes they are more than a sum of their parts, but if they didnt make tiny, but crucial mistakes, such as not re-enforcing the squad in the window, continuing to have unbridled faith in crazy mofs like eboue, (and most crucial of all) cutting ones own hair..

so certainly, we should take them in our sights , along with liverpool and even chelsea, they all have weaknesses, but in arsenal's case, especially mental. we have to get into arsenal's mind early on, that would be the key to a special, succesful season.

Strange thing is how many Arsenal players would anyone take to replace any players in the spurs side? I can think of Toure, Fabregas & Eboue but thats it! They must have a great team ethic because individually we are head & shoulders above them!

...And expecting such a young team, with so many new faces, to gel quickly enough to achieve consistency in the toughest league in the world seems somewhat unrealistic. If Berbatov stays I think we may have a chance of finishing fifth, but I would be pleasantly surprised. If we break into the top four I would be over the moon, but also a bit shocked. Can't wait to see what the new season brings...

Eboué? Are you serious, or are you confusing him with the man with the 50s lampshade hairdo?

Man for man, the only Gooners I'd take are Fabregas and Clichy—and I'd like to see how Bale, BAE and Gilberto develop before taking Clichy. Everywhere else, we're now as good or better individually.

As a team, yes, as others have said, they work better than us and just about everyone else—or at least they have done. Make no mistake, they're going to be formidable opposition and anyone doubting that and writing them off is a total mug. But if we can get our act together and keep it together we'll press them very close.

At this moment in time, Spurs and Ar5ena1 are equal in player quality IMO. But think the Scum have a better mentality to winning. It all depends now on King(especially), Woodgate staying fit and Gomes forefilling his abilities in goal. If that happens I see great things happening (CL football).
