I said this in another thread and got criticised.

He will be great for united and wouldn't blame him for wanting to leave this circus.
Not necessarily. If they do not win he will get pissed off, his head will drop and he will play like a muppett.

No - This "wouldn't blame him for wanting to leave this circus" constant negativity, its tiring.
Is it. Sorry about that.

I don't blame him for leaving........This amazing club and squad we have this season (y)

I think we'd be lucky to get £15m for him.
Dunno where you're all getting £20m-£30m from.

Regardless as to how good he can be, he's hardly playing and and when he does he's half arsed.
You can't ask a buyer for silly money for that. They'd be fucking mental to pay it.

i. He's a current international with 2 years' PL experience,
ii. He's contractually tied to Spurs for another 3 years,
iii. ManU are desperate for some quality in the centre of defence,
iv The evidence suggests that his recent drop in form and/or falling out with Poch is precisely because he wants to move, rather than because he's suddenly become a crap footballer.

All in all, I sense that DL has already changed into his SuperDan outfit, ready to battle with the Red Filth.

The general consensus is that he is out of sorts at Spurs, cant be arsed etc. But wasn't he the same in the World Cup? Unless my memory is failing he didn't exactly turn it on in that competition either. I remember Kompany giving him one huge bollocking for switching off which led to a goal. He did himself no favours in that competition.
Having said all that I don't want him to go!

Totally fleece them and bring in 2 CBs that poch wants.

I actually wouldn't be too devastated at this tbh, We must screw them though and shinehead must let poch use the proceeds.

Let's hope they're not like Fazio then.

If he doesn't want to be here we could sell him and chiriches for a combined 40 mill and sign two decent replacements that can actually defend!

Bish, bash, bosh.

Easy
Not easy Chiriches the clown would be easy to replace... I would try and sign a player like Shawcross... At least they can defend properly and people don't want to fuck with them. With the rest of the money get someone in the Gallas/Naybet mold that can teach the group how to communicate and play in an organised manner.

Vertonghen is twice the defender Shawcross is. It's Poch's job to keep Jan motivated and hungry.

To be honest, it doesn't look like a lot of players are buying into Poch at all. He's meant to be this amazing coach who works with what he's got. Did you not see how much he improved those players at Southampton? He can't do that here for some reason.

I don't mind Vlad either to be honest, I just don't think the players know what the fuck it is Poch wants. Hey ho, it doesn't help that our squad is bloated with a lot of wank

And yet he was chosen in the team of the World Cup, but I agree with you about him leaving. He is our best CB and we need him to stay.

For me Vertonghen's attitude stinks, just like Adebayor's. Both have wonderful ability but their attitude and lack of concentration just sucks. IMHO it's time to move both of them on and replace them with players who give their all when putting on the Spurs shirt.
