1. 'I LOVE MARTIN JOLLLLL MARTIN JOL LOVES MEEEEE'? anyone who went to the game were there many chants towards the great man, I hope so as he was a legend and treated like shit by the board, hopefully the true fans let him know how much we appreciated him...

2.Would anyone have him back if Harry left us,I think Harry has done an amazing job but if Jol had had full responsibility for transfers and the like or access to this squad I think he may well have got us to the top4 also as with a far inferior squad he was not far off.

Great hard fought win today, Spurs of old would have thrown that lead away.

No I wouldn't have him back. He's also not a great man or a Spurs legend.

Some people need to build a bridge and get the fuck over Martin Jol. Singing for him while our current manager recovers from heart surgery is fucking disgusting.

I think when people call him a great man they are referring to him as a person bear so go easy. He definitely laid the foundations with 2 5th place finishes and a 7th or what ever it was ....

Personally I will always respect what he did and also actually respected the fans for showing him the respect the board failed to that year...

I think we need to move on though and so does he. Hopefully Harry will be with us for a while...

Yep well said. To be honest I agree it would e a step backwards and it's clear Harry is a better manager but I still think Jol could have done a good job with this squad and as a person yes really respect the love he showed towards our club, some good times with him in charge won't be forgotten.

I like Jol and he did well for us but I don't think he's a great manager.

Klopp or nothing after Harry leaves or retires! Rodgers and Lambert both look like keeping an eye on though.

Sorry mate but it is people like you with their simplistic "either this or that" type of thinking that reduces most public debates or discussions to farce! So what you're saying is that because people sang for a manager that was very popular they couldn't also care about Harry Redknapp as well? Seriously?

Please....................

I love Martin Jol, he was our second longest serving PL manager after Gerry Francis, he brought us forward a long way and stepped in after Santini gave in after five minutes. The way his sacking was handled was poor, but I'm also aware of the story that he had talks about the Newcastle job while he was still at Spurs, so...

But the thing that makes me love BMJ is his post match conversation with a ref (I think at Old Trafford)

BMJ knocks on refs door, walks in.
"I want to talk to your about your performance on TV. Is it alright if I call you a prick?"
"No, it is not."
"Is it all right if I think you're a prick?"
"You can think whatever you like."
"Okay...I think you're a prick."

The way he was sacked by Spurs was a total disgrace you don't sack someone during a game.

It's up there on a par with singing for Jermain Defoe when he played for Pompey as Darren Bent was scoring a hat trick for us. Or singing 'super Pav' when Crouch scored a hat trick for us against Young Boys.

I've been to Fulham away every year for the last 4 years (even twice last year including FA Cup) but it was the sole reason I didn't go this year.

I loved Martin Jol when he was our manager, but he's not anymore. I wouldn't expect us to sing for George Graham if he came out of nowhere and started managing again, and he won a trophy for us.

It's just disrespectful, especially when Harry wasn't there for medical reasons.

I loved Jol's time as manager, it was the first time it was exciting to be a Spurs fan since Klinsmann.

I don't think he has proved Levy wrong since we sacked him. Still hasn't won anything at 3 clubs, if he had gone to Germany and Holland and torn up trees, then maybe it would be a discussion worth having.

If Harry leaves for England I very much hope we will be able to offer a prospective manager CL football and a star-studded squad, so we should attract some top candidates.

I would not want him back either but he did win the Dutch cup with Ajax.....

I like him but he seems to be very unlucky for some reason and that's not a good habit

The genius that is Jol. Just when they needed a goal and were knocking on the door he took off their two most creative players and brought on a defensive midfielder.
