I voted royal just cos of the shit he gets…kane as motm end of
I voted Davies as he was solid in defence and his goal was so important. He's not as bad as some think.
But I'm writing here that the motm was Bentancur as he moves the ball so well, and helped pen them back.
But I agree the motm was kane.

Davies has shown for years he can play really well in a three, what with Dier now showing that he’s a rock in a three as well we’re looking okay.
Stats on us winning with Dier in the team are mental, no one would have thought it two seasons ago.
Romero is really looking good alongside him and that three are looking solid, sandcastle didn’t really have any opportunities apart from the free kick.
Still can’t believe juve let our new boys come to us because they have been amazing, just look at the difference when we had to bring winks on for Ben.
Lucas was great when he came on along with Bergie and having the option of bringing them two on with 20 mins to go Is mental!
Kane, as Gin said you’d have to go to mars to find a player like him at the moment.
DL, back Conte and we’re going places, I get the impression if we keep him and Kane happy everything might get really interesting!

How about who was motm though? :ROFLMAO:

Romero for me today, he was imperious.

So many top performers. But I’m gonna give a shout out to a player who has been quietly sturdy, steady, and determined for many games now. Plus, he popped up with what was the most important goal of the game: the equalizer.

Take a bow, Mr Ben Davies.

The difference was that we were 4-1 up late in the second half and the priority was to keep the ball, which is what Winks is good at and what he did. It was a tactical substitution and Winks followed his instructions, which is why Conte said he "could rely on Winks" a few weeks ago.

Aside from Hugo, I think nearly anyone could make a case for..
  • Doc as a LWB?
  • Emerson, given the shit he gets.
  • PEH remembering how to take the ball on the turn.
  • Dier/romero/Ben all great (in their own way).
  • Son I felt was below par (but, 1 goal/1 assist, could /should have been more).
  • Then you have kulu, bentancur and kane. Leagues ahead of the Saudis.

Love that we had drive to score more rather than defend a narrow margin.
Romero is class and we just need consistency that we had with Jan/Toby.
I've also noted a change in my desire to watch us as had become a bit abject. Now i can't wait to see what magic we perform on the pitch.
What a fucker Burn is, taught a lesson by Kane!

Gave MOM to Kane. He was involved it virtually every positive attacking move, especially in the second half. Still pissed off with him for his antics in the close season but it’ll be a long time before we’ll ever see a player like him again- and by we I don’t just mean Tottenham.

Could just as easily given MOM to Romero who was imperious in defense. He reads the game so we’ll that it makes many of his interceptions and tackles look so easy. He does like to get forward as well.

I nearly went for the team effort option for the first time ever but I had to give MOM to Romero who was magnificent today. We finally have our own Virgil van Dijk :).

Kane for me. Almost every chance we get starts with a pass out of the midfield from him.
It does occur to me - if someone were to watch one of our games, but with no idea who the players were, you would likely describe at the moment as a creative, attacking midfielder with (a hell of) an eye for goal, or maybe a false 9

He's amazing

Romero for me. Narrowly pipped Kane to it. Bentancur and Kulusevski also excellent. Big shout out to Paratici for these fantastic signings.

Gonna have to say it was a team effort & these boys really dug in to prove this clueless **** of a manager wrong.

Well played!

I voted team effort, I could have gone for Bentancur - I love the way he is always available and wanting the ball, not scared to receive it even with players around him. His distribution is excellent (only very occasionally do passes go astray) I can see him becoming as valuable to us as Dembele.
Romero was fantastic, absolutely rock solid throughout and the block in the first half was world class. Kulu with another assist and a very good performance. Harry had an amazing second half with his distribution, Sonny was back to to something like his best although he probably should have finished off that scintillating move for a goal of the month contender. Dier never put a foot wrong, likewise Davies, PEH and despite my reservations about Emerson and Doherty both did really well. Although it was up the other end and so I couldn't see clearly, I thought maybe Hugo should have done better with their goal, but that doesn't matter now.
Subs were lively when they came on, especially Bergwijn who was unlucky not to score a wonder goal with the volley.
All-in-all a great team performance

Tough to choose so went for team effort. Every outfield player played their part.

Romero, Bentancur, Kane and Kulu - 9
PEH, Doherty, Dier, Davies - 8
Son, Emerson - 7
Hugo - 6

Quite funny how the predictable slating of our wing backs happened in the match thread at HT, for them to then score 2 and get an assist between them.

Kane was brilliant - in the second half. Romero was absolutely awesome, couple of utterly brilliant blocks.

But..........my vote goes to Doherty. Scored the goal to give us the lead, set up Royal's. All playing on his less favoured side and good for the whole 90. Fair play MD. I'm definitely becoming a fan.

Actually just occurred to me, the way you described Bentancur sounded very similar to a chap who spent a couple of season with us back in 2005/6…. Michael Carrick.
