I always give him props when he does well. Doesn't mean I don't still think he's a ****.

Unlike many on here I can dislike someone, think in general they aren't good enough, and yet still be able to judge them objectively on a performance by performance basis.
I’m really curious. Why is he a ****? You mean as a person?

assuming it’s that you don’t like him as a player, why call him a ****?

Genuine question (not questioning you as ITK)

He seems a popular member of the squad.
Yep Sonny was extra delighted for him in the interview after the game.

He may not be as good as what we could have, but think he gives us more than Emerson does. Hopefully he gets a run now and makes the spot his own.

Was thinking Hugh Dallas’s miss where he tried to walk it into the goal must have traumatized Docherty as as soon he had the open goal there was no waiting ( or directing) just blasted the thing in a panic, we have so many average players…

Best half he’s had for us, no doubt.

A sublime first-time assist. Should have had another for Son. Aggressively took on his opponent and got a shot away, which we haven’t seen much of prior to tonight.

Delightful touch from Kane’s cross-field pass. Very impressed.

Not even close between him and Royal in this system, in my opinion. Until we find an upgrade, I don’t want Royal on the pitch, quite frankly.

He’s not the long-term answer if we want to be challenging for trophies BUT very very pleased to see him finally showing his true form akin to how he played for Wolves.

As I’ve said over and over when he was getting slated, give him a run of games in his actual position and in a team with confidence and better players around him and we will see the Doherty of Wolves who let’s be honest most of us were quite excited about when we initially signed him.

By far our best current option at RWB.

Well he's the one you keep as back up/rotation, that's for sure.

Could have 2 assists if Son hadn't missed that one on one. Hope he can keep this form for the rest of the season.

Def want Doherty to stay as backup next year if he can keep this up. Last couple of games he has found some confidence and the system is suiting him pretty well

Must say the last few games I have watched on tv Matt Doherty has performed brilliantly. He looks nothing like the player who was being slated earlier in the season.
