I watched 2nd half again today. That was the Wolves Doherty, so where’s he been for 18 months. I find it very odd he can Chuck in a performance like that when he’s largely been completely abject.

Fair play to him for the other night, but saying he’s perfect for Conte’s system etc is oh so slightly/greatly over exaggerated, no? Conte wants guys to pick out passes from the wings. We’ve not seen that from him at all. Like i said, fair play to him, he was pretty good the other night, but he’s not the answer in that position.

So if Traore joins I’m assuming we sell/loan one of Emerson and Doherty? Hasn’t been any news on that front really. Looks like Wolves aren’t interested in doc?

I'm obviously not Dohertys biggest fan.

Maybe we need to think/remember that Doherty & Traore actually combined pretty well when Wolves had their purple patch under Nuno.

Not at all rated him so far. But he was important in turning the game in our favour against Leicester. Maybe he has a future with us as an impact sub, wingback/winger role? Offers aerial threat and has a decent cross. The run for the equaliser was class. With traore in front of him he would have room to deliver and could give us something our right side lacks currently.

Decent option until we are able to upgrade.

One of the worst players on the pitch today. I'm afraid one good half against Leicester in his entire time here is not going to cut it. Must be sold asap.

Still can't believe we paid 15M for him.

He only pretends to look busy but never goes flat out. Always seems to be on the go but never gets the ball.

I think he deserves a chance at the backup RWB role. He wasn’t good today by any stretch of the imagination but he’s better at it than Royal. If PEH hits him on that through ball he might have scored. Emerson wouldn’t have been in the box

He played well in the week but he went to pieces in the second half today.

Saying that he clearly has a good attitude and is well liked.

Hes a back up wing back, no point getting angry about him.

I feel a bit sorry for him.
We bought a rwb.
He gets played at rb and is awful.
We get Conte who likes to play wbs.
He gets stuck on the left and looks shit.
We play Leicester and he plays rwb and has his best game to date.
Next match, away to Chelsea, right lads we're going 442. Doherty, youre right wing.
Oh ffs.

Can see him staying until the end of the season as gives an experienced wing back option on the left and right.

If Gil goes on loan and Dele and Lo Celso leave I assume Traore will primarily be one of the attacking players with Moura, Bergwijn and Son for the remainder of this season.

awful yesterday, the praise after a good 45 min v leicester was ott, considering he has given us 2 years of trash, and normal service was resumed yesterday, if conte can get us top 4 with players like doherty then he deserves a statue

If we aren't to sign a RWB this window, i hope he is given a chance ahead of Emerson, from an attacking POV anyways, he offers so much more.

Emerson can be used in games vs tougher opponents / wingers.

The classic he is a much better player by simply not playing. Has to start Sunday. Surely surely cannot be any worse

Well he isn't an improvement on Emerson but he deserves another go.

Honestly, would rather Lucas at RWB at this point. We know what both Doherty and Royal offer us. Lucas is faster, has a better leap and is a better crosser than both of them.
