all these people saying we should be getting a higher quality player than taylor , well name someone then ?????

exactly, there not there,

taylor would go stright into our team and do a good job giving us something extra, we could sign some unknown like nene who might never adapt to the prem or take a year.

there are lots better than taylor but not one i can think of who we can get.

Ask yourself, Taylor or Malbranque.

Id like to see Taylor come and Malbranque given a few games in the center and leave Jenas on the bench.

Pompey chief executive Peter Storrie refused to rule out off-loading versatile left-sided man Taylor, who is a Spurs fan. and the whole family are spurs fans aswell

if He surports tottenham he will have grit and want spurs to win. He will play with his heart on his sleve. not like some of them players we play week in and week out

anymore than 6 million and its not worth it, hes a decent player, not a top 4 player, 6 million then its worth a shot.

As a Yid he will be happy as a squad player if we signed someone better. He's a decent player that could do a useful job in couple of positions. No more than 5.5 mil though.

'Kin 'ell - prices are through the roof officially if that's the sums being mooted.

Although £6.8mill for Mido was the confirmation if any was needed that the world has gone mmmmmmmad.

If we need a left footed player badly I don't mind paying over the odds to get someone in who is of a good quality.

From what Jol said we are looking for one so if it costs a few more million than Taylor's actual value then why not (if we can afford it that is).

If he costs £6m and improves us slightly then so be it. It is a slight improvement and another player in our current squad.

With our current squad selection strategy almost being "if your fit you play" then that's also an advantage.

I know he is not too good at LB but as an extremely short term solution he can be put in at LB until one of our LBs is fit.

If in Jan or whenever if we sign someone better than that's fine as we have a decent squad player and he will have done a job in the short term.

I am not saying that just because he has a left foot then we should buy him but that his ability and versatility are worth us giving him a try as he may help us improve.

Taylor may not be top 4 quality now but who's to say that working under our coaching staff and with our squad will not improve him in anyway? Maybe the fact that playing for your boyhood team gives you a little extra something. Plus is there any player out there that is of that "top 4 quality" that is within our budget, would integrate in with the rest of the team and wants to come to Spurs?

everton only have 1 person that is top 4 quality. they play with balance and people who work hard in a system. Talyor is an honest player who would work hard and give alot to the team. its the balance and improvement to the playing system that would allow all the tem to flurish and even allow the good players more space and less pressure to be better.

i pray we get him cos this kind of player is what we need.

I agree with many others. If this kid is a Yid, then he will play above his ability. Similar to TT is good in my eyes. he would play balls out for the club and that isn't a bad thing. I love TT even with his shortcomings and I think if Matt Taylor played above his ability like TT then we would be set for a bit.

I personally will let the accountants deal with the money figures and just tell them to "Get'er done!"

I will be f+cking disapointed if we waited all summer for Taylor.

Surely Bale is the same type, capable of doing exactly the same job.
