just great, this club has no luck. If Jenas and Zokora start against middlesborough in the centre of midfield, then we're fucked.:bang:

Take a guess which game this was, and its conclusion.

Tottenham: Robinson, Hutton, Woodgate, King, Chimbonda, Lennon, Jenas, Zokora, Malbranque, Berbatov, Keane.
Subs: Cerny, Kaboul, Tainio, Huddlestone, Bent.
Chelsea: Cech, Belletti, Carvalho, Terry, Bridge, Wright-Phillips, Essien, Lampard, Obi, Anelka, Drogba.
Subs: Cudicini, Joe Cole, Ballack, Kalou, Alex.

Ok i'm sorry if my posts give you that impression.

I just feel this club has so much potential and i find it frustrating that it's not fulfilling that potential. Regarding Zokora and Jenas, i feel they are very hard working players. These are the players that will give 110% every match which is splendid to see but they do lack quality. It is obvious the manager, the board and majority of the fans wants to see the club reach a level that it hasn't for a long time and i feel for the club to reach that level, they need players with a little bit more quality than the grafters that are Jenas and Zokora.

I was looking at the statistics provided by actim on the official premier league site and neither Zokora and Jenas are in the top 20 for assists. As you are aware that Spurs had a poor defensive record and conceded a lot of long range goals. I feel this is where Zokora should've helped the team but he didn't.

I'm very sorry if i sound like a hooligan.

All honesty - Zokora was awful that game.

dont be daft, zokora and jenas have had the benefit of a pre-season under juande ramos, and they haven't done that bad so far..

5th place and CC semi, great Uefa campaign under Jol
CC WIN, and another great UEFA campaign under Ramos

ALso Boro have got rid of Boateng which is a massive loss as they havent really replaced a player of his intelligence and experience

I just repped you for that contribution. Good stuff and at least it's constructive, although I still will argue my opinion.

My mate is / was an ST holder at Boro and en masse they didn't rate Boateng last season. He was spent. He was sold to Premiership newcomers Hull City for an outrageous £1m - daylight robbery.

Thanks, i can see where you're coming from when you say that they will be fine and you use the Carling Cup final as a reminder. That was a great performance by Spurs and we did have our 1st choice centre backs fit. Hopefully this will be the case come August 16th. They are very good players, just wish they were more consistent.

TBH, it wont amtter too much.. I think we have enough depth in quality.. Call me naive but IMO a stating lineup (without Modric) of

Gomes
Hutton/Gunter King Woody Ekotto
----------Huddlestone-----------
------Lennon-----DosSantos-----
Bentley--------------------Bale-
-------------Bent---------------

..is more than good enough.. Plus if we sign Arshavin he could dill the hole..

Too true. Not only that he was apparently one of the highest paid players at the club so not only did they get £1m for him but they got him off the wage bill. I'm sure they would have given him away for that reason alone!

Thanks for the pictures Winchy! I was slightly worried when I looked at the 2nd picture but in the 3rd he seems to be alright.
