He played a fair part of the game against Celtic and was clattered at least once...if he is at all doubtful let him miss these friendlies and get right for the start.

to be honest the commentators did mention how dry the pitch was on friday and how it did not get watered at half time as scheduled..

this injury was probably building up but that didnt help at all.. shocking really..

I agree with that theory! He looks fairly comfortable in the last picture

with the exception of king and perhaps berbatov, modric is the player we need the most in the starting line up v boro, so i really hope that this is just precautionary,

Yeah I think he suffers from hot knee. I get it too at times. my right knee just gets really hot and stiff. Ice works a treat. It's not a serious aliment and I use it as a talking point at parties. when it gets hot I can even warm a small room. Modric will be fine. :up:

All I've got is what I saw.

He was shielding the Sun from his eyes, but he was also clenching his face in pain when doing the stretches, he really looked in pain for a good half an hour of stretching the leg.

there's nothing to say modric won't be back in a few days, or even playing this afternoon or at least in a week v roma. dawson had half his face pouring out with blood and 2 days later he was playing. ok, a knee injury take longer to recover from, but the other day i had ice on my back after twisting awkwardly playing basketball and the next day i was just fine. lets not read to much into this until we line up v boro without our new little star!
