IMO. We should give up on Schniedertin, and go for Wanyama, or other targets for DMF
Think we have been.

Yup, saw that too. He better get a wiggle on if he wants to make the medical in Manchester. He's been pictured arriving for pre-season training at Southampton today though
Do you believe that? Even after his venting tweet? Southampton pissed us around, not us them.
What? Wasn't it Southampton who promised they'd sell him and then when they realised the fans were completely annoyed by the board selling all their players - I think the Chambers sale was the tipping point - they then reneged on their promise even though he was adamant in wanting to move to Spurs? I also remember reading that we'd matched the asking price and everything but they just flat out refused to sell him and that's why he posted that tweet about being annoyed because they'd broken that promise.
I was under the impression that we didn't get it done early because he wanted to put everything off until after the World Cup on the understanding that Southampton had promised to sell him. I remember reading ITK from a Soton forum that had been posted on a different Spurs forum that alluded to the utter calamity that was Soton and their board at the time and that Spurs had matched the fee but the board had completely changed their stance after the Chambers sale and refused to sell anyone else, regardless of previous promises or how much was offered.Pretty sure we offered something like £12m last summer. Never got near his price. If we'd gone in heavy early doors like Arse, Utd and Pool we would have got the job done on him and J-Rod. Whilst I understand we can't operate like that I'm sure MS was less understanding.
Good news is that Trix said he's still interested so we didn't burn any bridges.

We pissed him around last year when he was desperate to come to be fair...
Oh no!Well if he goes to Utd as looks likely good luck to him - plenty more fish in the sea.
Dragged it on for too long lowballing (or not throwing money at them like Pool/Arse), Chambers deal and the resulting backlash meant Southampton closed shop. He was then told he had to stay and then was pissed off.
Pretty sure either an ITK or a Soton based journo even alluded to this. Happy for @TrickyVilla or someone more ITK to prove me wrong. Everyone else is speculating...
The ITK was that Levy had exceeded the ceiling value that Pochettino valued Schneiderlin. Southampton had a field day with transfers and drew the line apparently after his transfer to us was agreed or was happening...them Southampton pulled the plug leaving Schniederlin pisses off hence his tweet. If you want us to throw around money like Liverpool...why don't you go and support Liverpool
If you read one of my other responses you would see I understand we can't throw our money around, but MS may not have been so understanding (which was the subject). There were numerous sources suggesting we were well short of Soton's valuation until it was already too late.
Morgan. Was at the World Cup last summer and declared he would sort his future when he returned. By the time this happened Southampton had stung all the clubs for a huge profit. Can you not see that Southampton pissed around both us and Morgan?
