You mean Schweinsteiger or Schneiderlin? Because Bild.de claims on their frontpage that it is done so it is probably true (Schweinsteiger that is).Lot of noise on twitter that they've signed him.

Sorry, yeah, it's Schweinsteiger. Should have made that a bit clearer. You mean Schweinsteiger or Schneiderlin? Because Bild.de claims on their frontpage that it is done so it is probably true (Schweinsteiger that is).
I think they will buy MS as well, they don't have a midfielder like him.
As it stands I'd find it hard to argue that they need him. If they sign Schneiderlin they might just put Carrick out to pasture I guess? But Carrick was amazing last season so I don't see why they would.
Saying that, would Carrick be such a bad signing with all these youngsters around?
Personally I think it would be a strange decision to have Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger and Carrick. Not identical players by any means but quite a few similarities and seems a bit overkill
I get all that BC but my point is we should trust the judgement of Levy to do the deal within safe parameters. If he thinks its just too much I accept that.
But if he thinks a deal can be done and is worth doing on the basis of what the management are saying, my point is why would people complain over a disparity in any potential fee when this is a signing that could be instrumental for many reasons, above all the manager having complete faith and confidence in the player to come in and do what's expected.
I am not so sure. Still a long shot, but I think most fans seem resigned to the fact Schneiderlin is leaving, and most of the furor over Alderweireld has died down a bit - particularly with Reed essentially acknowledging nobody really did anything wrong - Toby just preferred Spurs.Bloody hell I wouldn't want to be on the Southampton board if they accept a bid from us. They'd be lynched by the saints fans. Saintsweb is sure he'll stay if there's no offer from a CL team.
Fair point. I wasn't particularly referring to this example (MS/25m etc where I don't think the price is totally outrageous in the current market) more why fans express concerns and opinions regarding fees/wages for players per se.
Why would Bastian wanna go to man u anyway?
