I'm glad we got a player which has proven himself in the EPL for a reasonable fee. Good replacement for Luka now lets secure Lloris and another striker. COYS

Interesting where Dembele fits in. Looking at that footage from the Utd game he'd look a shoo-in for the Modric role in a 4-4-2...
I guess he'll ultimately be the left of the midfield 3. If Willian comes in, our side is gonna take a bit of shuffling.
Just hope we bought the right oneIt's a good job Fulham signed that second Moussa Dembele from PSG. Must soften the blow. And all the fans with Dembele shirts won't be quite so disappointed. We could have done the same with a 14 year old Luka Modric, I suppose. Even if we had to pay some confused Croatian parents off to change all his documents. Great marketing scheme by Fulham there. Innovative.

What would be funny, what with Utd fans claiming he was theirs earlier, is if Fulham had sold both of them for £15m each, with Utd getting the PSG one.shit!!! it could be a trap.
Both Allen and if the deal goes through Dembele were bought for 15M, so who do you guys think got the best deal? Personally I think they will both be good, but Dembele's has all the technical ability of Allen as well as a physical presence which obviously Allen lacks.
I think Allen has a better passing ability but like you said Dembele is more physical and he is also more of a versatile player so I personally think Dembele is the better buy.
Pretty spot on. I think Dembele's got a bit more athleticism as well.
Dembele also has 4* skill moves in FIFA, Allen only has 2*. Much more fun to play with. Thanks DL!
DL definitely had that in mind when making the bid.
For those that want a little more info/stats on how Dembele plays this is an interesting article from Opta:

I know I've thrown this around at times, but does anyone else believe in the idea that when you put a player with some really nice skills, and surround him by better talent than his previous team, that it can make a huge difference not only in the statistics that said player can put together but also make a difference in the growth of a player?
I know it's an area of argument for some which is hard to quantify. But I tend to think that surrounding yourself with better players, when you've already played in that league and established yourself despite having what most would consider marginal talent around you, you're in line for some progression in terms of your skill set and more directly - your stats.
Just something to think of when you see Dembele as not having much of an end-product on the stat sheet. Granted, he did have Clint Dempsey who was one of the better goal scorers in the PL last year. Just something I was trying to work through when thinking about the future of Dembele.
