Very good player, not dissimilar in style to Berbatov, has always shown a good attitude, is very likely available and has good premiership experience. Sounds like a no brainer to me.

And talking about him as a Liverpool reject is a bit misleading. He doesn't fit in to their formation and he is arguably better than some of the players that do (Kuyt, for example). And don't forget that our other supposed target, Eto'o, was a Real Madrid reject before he signed for Barca. Not being good enough for a team isn't always the reason why moving there doesn't work out.

Right on.

Who on SC would welcome Peter Crouch back to The Lane?

I for one would, and have always rated him as a non-effective affective pro. He isn't flair, he isn't grace but he'd strike fear into the opposition up front with Keane plus the cavalry in tow.

No need for long balls either as he can play the ball on the deck and has a clever footballing brain.

No Fuckin way!

Hope that was conclusive enough for every one.

I'd take Crouch for £7m. Nothing more, I do like him, but again, if he came here he'd sit on the bench like he does at Liverpool. So he wouldn't want to come here. I can see him going to small time club like Newcastle:)
