If anybody's interested, there's a programme on Discovery Science this morning - Extreme Engineering. This episode is about the Arizona Cardinals new stadium which features a slide out playing surface. No idea whether it has any resemblance to how the new WHL pitch will work but may be interesting
I dont think it will be, ours will be more like the Sappon Arena(the mechanism)

Some of the vomitories seem unnecessarily is large - could be the American NFL influence, where stadiums have to cater for large numbers of obese people.

If your talking about the lower ones on the south stand, aren't they the ones built for safe standing. The row of blocks that wrap around the pitch have been built with safe standing in mind in the future. With that comes more people to get out of the ground for the same amount of space for a seat. 1/1.8 people I think it is.

Every other vomitorie is a normal size, including those for the seats at the top of the south stand.

I hate to be negative about our lovely stadium but I really am nor keen on the glass gaps between the roof and seats.

I know there is likely a very good reason for them like getting sunlight in but it sort of looks a bit temporary to me. No doubt it will look better in reality.

Agree. Really don't like them, it opens up the stadium too much

I wish they could use electrochromic glass (which can turn opaque) for that do during matches there's no lift coming through.
Would really make a difference to the stadium imo

HotspurSam on sky scraper city did a blog post detailing the corporate and premium seating.

Worth a read for anybody interested in that side of the new ground.

Oh and as it says in the title 'Micro Brewery anybody'? I'd like to see the club supporting guys like Redemption and Beavertown than doing there own.

Indeed, particularly as Redemption currently produce a beer called 'Hopspur'. Our very own beer!

Looks like City have made their own Tunnel Club, which is the exact same as the one at our new Stadium (n)

Is this such a good idea anyway?
Players rummaging around adjusting their jock straps, scratching their arses, clearing their noses...
And what next? A changing room club?
(Actually, that would be quite interesting, watching the teacups hit the wall, and the players at each others throats.)

Pretty sure I read an interview with one of the guys from Beavertown who said they'd been in discussions with the club.
