I genuinely have no idea where we are going to be in 4/5 years time with Liverpool, Chelsea, Utd, City and now Newcastle all ahead of us financially. You don’t believe all this crap do you. Newcastle will buy solid pl players to get them up in the top half by the end of next season, then they can start to buy better quality.
It is a much different landscape to what Chelsea encountered and Man City later on. Neither of those teams needed about 17 players or were near the bottom of the league.
They will also get well stitched up when bidding for players.
Chelsea and City were not faced with 4 top clubs , 3 of whom with virtually unlimited money.(Liverpool the odd one out but hardly paupers)
Players they might go for are probably those coming to the end of their contract and those who cannot get a game. Lingaard, Tarkowski, Winks, Doherty, Alli. How good would that be.
Don’t see the likes of Sterling and Rudiger wanting to go there. Won’t get to CL for at least 3 or 4 seasons, if ever.
Everton have spent almost 500m in 4 years since Moshiri arrived.
Utd over 400m since Ole took over.
They might have a lot more money than the rest but they are not going to spend it all on football.
