Big test for him. Hard balance to try and achieve when you're in his position; but we have to win this game.

Hopefully he gets a couple early on without too much fuss, or he'll become more and more desperate for it as the game goes on and will be shooting at every oppo.

How's is it a dig? If he passed when there was an exceptionally high chance we would of scored on 2 separate occasions against Southampton, then I doubt we'd have lost the game and not needed to go to Newcastle needing to take something from the game to finish 2nd.

I think it's really harsh to blame him for shooting in this instance. Van Dijk has positioned himself well and Lamela is only a couple of yards behind him so if Kane passes to him then theres a very good chance that Van Dijk will block the shot or intercept the pass.

chance 1 still would've left lamela 20 yards out and with a player to beat, kane is just as likely to bang one in the bottom corner from 30 yards than lamela is to score from there. chance 2 van dijk had the cut back to lamela covered, i don't know why this keeps being ignored. I've moaned about kane previously and think this "the best strikers are also the greediest" cliché is a load of bollocks but those two instances against southampton were nowhere near as bad as they're being made out to be.
