You can understand Son as he has had no pre-season, but if Wanyama is fit surely he comes straight back into the team? And if not fit, why's he on the bench?

So, having not watched Newcastle since they were last in the Prem (I know, it wasn't pretty), are they any cop? Did they strengthen over the summer?

Newcastle: Elliot, Clark, Dummett, Shelvey, Gayle, Ritchie, Hayden, Perez, Manquillo, Lejeune, Atsu.
Subs: Darlow, Lascelles, Murphey, Aarons, Mbemba, Merino, Mitrovic

(In order of squad number, not position).

Surprised lascelles is not starting been impressed by him on the few occasions I seen him

It's quite possible for a player to be fit enough for 30min but not be able to last the 90.

Because he's not fit enough to start like Son. Thought that would be pretty easy to decipher?

Ooo! Interesting line-up. KWP, time to step up to the big leagues lad. No Big Vic is a worry. I want to see Sissoko steaming at the Geordie toe rags to prove a point. C'mon You Mighty Spurs!

At 30 million quid, Sissoko needs to bang in 10 goals this season and be one of the first names on the team sheet to prove his point.

At 30 million quid, he needs to do a bit more than give a Newcastle left back a bit of a difficult afternoon.

The way the team is written with Dier after Davies suggests he's in midfield, so no need to worry about Wanyama only being fit enough for the bench.

Best to start with Son on the bench adding impact if needed.

Not sure that would be the case the other way around...

If we can get 3 points here with no injuries then we'll have a fully fit Son and Wanyama ready for Chelsea, hopefully a new signing or two will be implemented into the squad by then as well.

Happy that KWP has a good opportunity today and that he didn't go for Dier or Sissoko.

Looming forward to it all starting again even though sky are banging on about man united........
