Right, if you follow me on Twitter (@StevenLDN) sorry if that seems like a shameless plug, I've been posting details that my mate Giane has been filling me in on via Whatsapp.

The attack on the drunken ship along with the throwing of tear gas/gas canisters was pre-planned as an "anti semetic" message his apartment is directly across from the pub and he could hear them shouting stuff about Mussolini and Hitler and gassing jews.

Along with that the convoy shuttle buses to the stadium were branded with Tottenham stuff on them so that the Spurs fans could tell which coaches to get, but they had to pull them and put unbranded coaches on as the Lazio fans, if you can call them that were targeting the bus with missiles and rocks, etc.

He works in a private practioners and was sent to the main hospital as he was one of the few English speaking doctors and checked on a few Spurs fans, he said that an awful lot of them had injuries from curved blades, which is basically what Lazio ultras use to basically stab you and brand you with, utter scum the lot of them. If anything more happens I'll post it and keep you guys filled in.

This picture isn't for the squeamish among you.

Thats not Ashley Mills, and he was the worst injured. He is ok now and will be released from hospital tomorrow morning. Anyone know who that is?

I assumed it was a library picture of a previous victim to demonstrate the type of wound.

Wowsers. Time to grow his hair out a little. Gnarly gnarly stuff. Glad that the damage seems to be soft tissue only, not that it is any consolation to those poor bastards. They're going home at least.

Utter disgrace. One can shout and sing racial songs all they want, I'm fine with people acting stupid and embarrassing themselves that goes entirely on their accounts, but once they start throwing rocks or using blades trying to cut another human being over a soccer game that is taking it to a level where sane humans shouldn't be venturing.

I don't condone football violence, but I hope the Spurs/Aberdeen lot find those ****s and give them a good hiding. Shame the home game has already been played.

Disgusting...

According to La Repubblica, 14 people were interrogated in connection with the incident by the police, who have now made two arrests. Both men are known Roma ultras.
Francesco Ianari and Mauro Pinnelli fled the scene on a bus and after boasting of the attack, the driver took a picture of one of the assailants then contacted the police.

Good on the bus driver!
