That is a lot of tricky away games, places where we traditionally struggle a little. I think 20 points would be a great return to be honest and would keep us within touching distance.

Newcastle A
Blackburn A
Bolton H
Sunderland A
Blackpool A
Arsenal H
Wolves A
West Ham H
Wigan A
Stoke H

That is not an easy run with so many away games but if we want CLs football then we will need to step it up.

The home games against West Ham, Bolton and Stoke are must-wins, which takes us to 9 points. We then need a minimum of 11 points (but probably more) from the other 7 games.

Blackburn, Blackpool and Wigan look winnable and I would back us to get at least 2 points from the other 4 games. I think the game against Arsenal is the crunch game because not only will it close the gap if we win but it may just swing the momentum in our favour.

Based on what has happened so far this season, I would expect the teams above us to continue dropping points. It has just been our misfortune that when we went on a run over christmas so did City and Arsenal.

Newcastle A - defeat - standard result up there.

Blackburn A - Robbo masterclass - draw

Bolton H - Win

Sunderland A - Tough match, which Sunderland will we face? I'll tentatively predict a win - Win

Blackpool A - Our attacking threat will outgun their open style of play. Win

Arsenal H - Dare I dream? Realistically? No....Loss.

Wolves A - Win

West Ham H - Win

Wigan A - Win

Stoke H - Win

21 points.

That final 4 games are IMO the most important run we have in this half of the saeson. It gives us a realistic chance of 12 points from 12.

Its bad that we are actually playing better then last year but will find it much harder to get in the top 4

I honestly think we have a slightly better chance of winning the damn thing then finish in the top 4

When have we ever played well at Newcastle, regardless of how shit they are at the time?

Sunderland have got the same home record as we have, and Darren Bent will no doubt be up for it... Last season we went there expecting to win and they ran us ragged most of the game...

Despite Blackpool still being in good form, their style of play should suit us... Blackburn, depends which Tottenham show up...

Wolves have largely played well against the top teams this season, but we should be taking 9 points from the last three of those games...

Obviously we'll smash the filth...

I think this would be more informed if we added both Champions League ties against AC Milan, along with Fulham away in the FA Cup. In any case i'm sure there will be unexpected slip ups but that will be the case for all the top 5 clubs however when games are coming thick and fast with little rest in between then it can make fixtures that are appealing on paper much tougher.

Let's just take the one game at a time approach and not look to far into the future - remember a week is a long time in football!

We're a new beast this season with confidence to go away and pick up points. As long as we have decent time between games and are able to keep things fresh I can see us going on a decent run.

But this is what seperates us with the likes of United over the years. Yes the League is more competitive than ever but we need to be going into games against Newcastle preparing to really battle and scrap.

We never turn in a good performance there, expecting the worst but still harbour hopes of being surprised.

We are the better team, its alll about how committed we will be. Harry needs to really get them up for it.

Looks a tough few games coming up. First up a tricky trip to Newcastle which ain't too canny like. I'd love to get top 4 again but i do fear we will be 5th. Not to worry we qualify for next years Champions League when we win it any way.

I think we have a new beast. I don't think we are a new beast. I think we are going sideways and that is me being optimistic.

Personally AC milan in between Sunderland and the FA cup 5th round means to me unless we get an easy fixture in the FA cup that we would play our best team for AC and rest either side- possible mucking up both our PL and FA cup chances

Wolves to AC milan in the next leg wouldn't pose to much threat but i do see another rested 11 at Molineux

The pressure and exhaustion from the CL tie would mean the FA cup would be effected again

The good news is the CL will not be before a PL league

ON both occasions CL will be infront of an FA cup game and so may get a chance to rest after (NOT EFFECTING PL RUN IN)

Therefore should CL and FA cup should have minimal impact upon our CL game- as long as we don't rest too many players against Sunderland and Wolves

I think people are being overly pessimistic. 20-25 points is perfectly realistic and would keep us up there. We've lost 1 in something like 12 or 13, which included ManUre, Chels, Scum, Scousers

People are also forgetting that the others have big CL games and do no better on average, either side of those. The scum, for example, also have a CC 2nd leg and an FA cup replay away up north. So evrybody will drop points here or there

Come on guys have some confidence, we're the team that still plays to win when down to 10 men. Of course we'll keep our Champions League spot and with a little luck whose to say that we can't actually win the premiereship.
Man Ure simply cannot continue their run of luck and will definitely slip up soon. Arse anal, we all know that when the going gets tough, they fall away. Chelski are definitely beginning to show that their average player age is a factor and will drop more points and Citeh..........who knows what will happen there. Hopefully they sell Tevez to Real Madrid
