Ricky Villa in the FA Cup final.

David Ginola at Barnsley in the cup.
They were very important match wining goals, but not audacious as most decent strikers on their day could easily score goals like them. We are talking about goals most would not attempt in competitive matches. Anyway as @Metalhead said, its all subjective

I'll throw Kanoute v Everton into the mix:

Hard for me to pick any before I was alive. Though that Hoddle chip or his volleys are certainly worthy.

I think for pure audacity and the sheer unexpectedness of it, Lamela's rabona has to be up there. Probably didn't win the puskas award due to opponent and competition looking back. If that was in the Prem or Champions League it would be replayed to this day far more often.

Kane's halfway line goal v ex Gooner keeper.

Ndombele last weekend definitely a shout.

Robbie Keane v Blackburn is one of my all time favourites, purely because I was there (in line with Mido as he took the throw on the opposite side).

When I read this thread's heading, the first name that comes to my mind is Berbatov.

His goal versus Charlton. The eventual finish may not sublime, but the touch to take it pass the Charlton defender oozed class and audacity.

I voted other. Unless I am remembering wrongly....

In the 1977-78 season in the Second Division. Home match against Bolton. Glenn Hoddle had the ball, breaking on his own into the opposition half, racing along the right touchline. Everyone else way behind him. Halfway inside their half, almost level with the area, Glenn loops the ball way up high, over the keeper's head into the net.

It's how I remember it anyway. Sue me. The most audacious goal bar none.

The only other one that comes close for me is Berbatov's turn and dink into the net. Against Fulham I think in the cup. Would love to see that again.
We won that game 1-0 with a Don McAllister diving header :D

It might have been in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup though, we drew 2-2 at home and lost the replay.
At home in cup and yes, it was one of the great Hoddle goals - I was in the Paxton and he hit it with the outside of his boot into the top corner. I keep telling everyone it was one of the best goals I’ve seen but there’s no filmed evidence of it ( a bit like the Greaves goal against Leicester in the 60’s that people rave about) ☹️

I can't decide which one I like the most...they are all sublime.

There was a Volley from Nayim against Liverpool which was pretty good for adventurous attempts.

I still recall Ginola vs Barnsley too.

I don't forget about it, nor that goal. It was the first ever time I got sold alcohol in a pub, boy was I drunk and overjoyed, got my knob out, the works.

But it isn't audacious.
Getting your nob out in the pub is though

Hoddle for me with his chip. Receiving the ball in that position facing away from goal with a defender tight to him, he had no right to score.

I can only pick what I actually saw. Has to be Rabona by Lamela. Second would be Bentley because he had no right to take that on, it was the wrong thing to do! So for me, it's audacious. I can understand why one would want to include the Rose goal, but I actually think it made sense, when you get the ball out from a corner is often a time to wack it because all kinds of things and deflections can happen and they goalkeeper was completely out of position. So was audacious but not the same level as Bentley. Which came from open play.

Things like The Keane one, isn't that audacious because he's just trying to get past people, manoeuvre some space, and it just ends with him in a situation to score, that's the same with a lot of the best goals, same goes with Dele's which is a much better goal, than say Bentley's, but he's just trying to make space for himself, and it's still audacious but I don't think he was actively thinking 'I'm going to try this skill', rather I need to get past this person, if it didn't come of anybody would think twice about it. Kane's is also audacious, but it was a friendly, why not try it in the last minute, I'm not even sure it should count right, he has tried it numerous occasions since mind, he's never got close!

Ndombele's btw is absolutly up there. For Bale, I'd have picked his 40 yard free kick against Lyon over his (better) stoke goal. But ultimately people are always going to pick the better goals for these things.

It’s Son’s goal for me. Many of the clips are about putting skills to good use and lovely goals, but in terms of adding a brave flair to it, Son wins it IMO.

Why does everyone forget about teemu goal against West ham? Probably one of our best games ever

I do understand a lot of spurs fans like to forget about Martin Jol's Tottenham for some reason.

Listen to the commentary when we go 3-4 up when Stalteri scores. They even say "oh no"!!

There's other examples over the years where commentators make it clear they don't like us.

Not a biggy at all but im bored. Weekends in lockdown are fucking shite
