Touched...
Thanks so much.
Your dad in my prayers mate.

Sincere condolences on your loss. The death of a parent is one of the biggest landmark challenges in our lives and you are in our thoughts at this difficult time. Stay positive.

My dad passed away this morning.
He was an Ipswich Town supoirter but always had a soft spot for Spurs. We lived 10years of our lives in Bruce Grove.
He wanted us to win the league this season...
I hope we win today for a special man with a great heart.
Coys

When I lost my dad five and a half years ago I found places like this and the distraction of camaraderie they offered to be a godsend. They were somewhere to just lose myself for a little while. Football was always something we’d shared, though he was a Forest fan and, I found out later, had turned down a professional contract at Villa in the sixties. I still check Forrest results every week and was really sad they didn’t make it back up last season. The soft spot only grew softer as the time between his death and now lengthened.

I am so very sorry for your loss, and hope the match gives you somewhere to escape the grief for a few hours. Be kind to yourself.

I think it’s a bit of a double edged sword with Bale, as I don’t think we will see the best of him if he’s not playing with the strongest XI but currently he doesn’t have the fitness/application to be considered to start in PL matches

Best case scenario is he redoubles his efforts in training and in his time on the pitch and can get to the level where he can start alongside the big dogs, because he raises our ceiling if he’s fit and firing

If Bale isn’t injured it may be a little nudge to let him know he’s had long enough now and it’s time to perform. If we win tonight and then Bale plays v Liverpool and performs then Jose has played a blinder. We might even see the resurgence of Dele today, who knows? Bring on the optimistic ratings.

Bergwijn, who I like a lot, has no goals and no assists in over 400 minutes of EPL football this season. He and Moura, if they are who Mourinho prefers, really need to start chipping in with goals if we want to make a serious title charge. We'll need at least 10 league goals from that right-wing forward position to push Liverpool to the end of the campaign.

The thing Bale has that very few other players in the squad have is elite ball striking ability. He's worth having on the bench just for that, but Jose disagrees today, and we'll see how that plays out. Should be a win, but onus will be on Ndombele to be creative force.

Lo Celso to start on Wednesday? Maybe for Bergwijn? He is too good to start on the bench every game FFS.

Wonder what the odds are on Palace playing out of their skins today, then Woy’s Boys rolling over for Liverpool next weekend...

Gio started the last two playing the full 90 on Sunday and 72 minutes against Arsenal. With Liverpool on Wednesday and Leicester on Sunday there was little chance he was starting today.

Jose plays SB and LM as much for their defensive work as anything. Both track back and assist the full backs and give 100% effort throughout.

Not a fan of our attacking bench options if we need a goal.... Let's hope we do get the lead and don't need to chase the game!

Bale, as much as I love him, isn't showing the willingness or hasn't got the fitness to really give 100% to Jose's defensive process.

Dele actually played well in the few chances he has had recently. I think this is a great sign that Bale and Vinicius are dropped and Dele is back on the bench.

Jose's entire philosophy is about giving everything for the team. The fact that Bale is going to be treated the same as anyone else, and the fact that the door is being kept open for Dele, is sending a great message to the whole squad.

I suspect Dele will be fired up big time if he is called upon. Could be a smart move there.

I wanted to see Lo Celso in for Bergwijn, personally. I know he's doing a tactical job for us but I think Bergwijn is the only player that could be replaced in this lineup right now.
I reckon that could well happen for the Liverpool game.

Bale being saved for Liverpool.. or is Lucas? Both have played well against Liverpool historically

I think it is more likely that Bale is not working hard enough to justify a place in the squad, let alone the actual team. Against Liverpool expect to see the two WFs working incredibly hard defensively.

Exactly and that is why bale is not starting. I would also say Stevie and Lucas are also attacking threats obviously and have been involved in a lot of build up to goals. If that lets son and Kane do their thing then I have no issues with them playing as they have been playing well in my opinion.
