Quite keen. Never seen him play but as he has "inho" at the end of his name there is a good chance he will be a good player.

We have never had an "inho" either, so that would make it exciting.

Plus i would be excited to buy virtually anyone now rather than be talking about whether we were going to be making a last minute bid for Damiao on 31st August- though we will probably be doing that anyway.

It's funny... first I added Paulinho to the "dream team for next year" section of my sig, but then i reconsidered and added Bernard instead (i know they don't play the same position but i couldn't see us spending big for 2-3 brazilians in one window). This was before we were linked to either in the media, so clearly im a wizard.... who else should i use my powers on/add to my sig? Messi?

Where is the playmaker?

Think we'd be relying on our front three of Bernard-Villa-Bale for creativity. We wouldn't have a Modric/Moutinho player, but Dembele and Paulinho should be able to initiate attacks and get one of those three the ball.

This is exactly the type player I would like to have at Spurs! He's got what it takes to make it in the EPL. And no, he's not just a box-to-box player, he can also be used as a play maker - though he's not the typical "pure" player maker like Modric or Moutinho. But in the EPL you don't really need a "typical" play maker (though I'm not saying I didn't appreciate Modric' contribution ;)), as the pace is so fast and thus players are given less time on the ball.
Paulinho seem like the perfect fit for the EPL and Spurs; particularly if the means playing Andre's preferred 4-3-3 formation. He's got strength, pace, skills, timely runs and good work rate and a knack of scoring goals. He's got more play making skills than many here seem to be aware of, and particularly his well timed runs into the penalty area (apart from Bale, of course, Spurs haven't had MF with timely runs in decades, which is the main reason why so many Spurs croess/passes in to the opponents penalty area rarely finds a Spurs player even close not to talk of actually finding a Spurs player) can prove very vital (should he join Spurs that is).
Euro 18-20m seem like a fair price to me, well worthy the risk. Because it will be a risk involved of course. He'll cost less than Henderson anyway.
A CMF of (injury free!!!) Sandro, Dembele, Paulinho could hold their own against any MF in the world. Plus you'd have Holtby and Siggi as back ups (though I see Holtby more as a DMF, Spurs will need another DMF if they sell Parker, Thud and Livermore).

You seem to know a lot about him Dharmabum, would he line up in more of a #10 role like:
-------Sandro-Dembele--------
-------------Paulinho------------
Bale-------Striker------Winger

or pair with Dembele and sit a little deeper:
----------Sandro-----------
---Paulinho---Dembele---
Bale----Striker----Winger

?

Also I have to say I disagree with you on Holtby. Doesn't have the physicality or the skill to be a Sandro-type DMF, he was very good for Schalke as an AM but I think he will turn into a #8 and compete with Dembele.

Bernard, Leandro, Paulinho...buying job lots of talented Brazilians works for CL teams like Shakhtar and Porto so why not Spurs. As KK once famously said "I would loove it".

I didn't compare Holtby with Sandro (who can be any ;)), I meant he could do a job as a DMF. Holtby's got the stature of Parker, but got more ball skills. However, I agree with you that Holtby's more similar to Dembele in style and would be competing with him for the starting spot.
Paulinho is more of an all-rounder, he's even been employed as a DMF. Not sure exactly what you mean with a # 10 role. I think he and Dembele could be a hit doing inter-changing combinations during games, making deep runs in to the penalty area - while one of the other holds back - as both can play deep, and defend well, as well as being good at making runs. It would make it harder for defender to figure out who to mark. And then you add Bale (if he stays of course) and (again "hopefully") a top CF to the "equation"...

The great thing is that those signings are feasible and if we just stopped there it would probably be our best transfer window ever.

You mean if we just limited ourselves to spending the £40-50m it would cost to bring these three in? :cautious:

Would give a nice Brazilian spine to our squad ahead of the world cup aswell, esp throwing Sandro into the mix, we should keep Gomes on the books just to bump our Brazilian numbers :)

Seriously though, would love us to get those 3 you've mentioned, it's def doable. Would still want an additional striker and maybe a left back brought in aswell but thats not a priority as things stand I guess.
