Not sure if it's been posted or not

thanks for the link and there are quotes

here is the article for those who can't be bothered to click a link

The Corinthians man is widely expected to complete a move to the London club after representing his country in the FIFA Confederations Cup, and is hoping to complete a "dream" move to Spurs after the tournament.
"My focus is on winning the Confederations Cup – but after the tournament is finished I hope it is a deal that can get finalised quickly," he said.
"To play in England for a great team like Tottenham is a dream. What I respect about Tottenham is the ambition they have shown.
"This summer there has been interest in their coach and their best player – and they have been clear they both are not going anywhere.
"When my agent made me aware that Tottenham were interested I knew it would not be a move that I could turn down."

Cheers for posting the while thing, I'm on mobile so it was quicker to put the link. I also put "quotes" as I wasn't sure how legit they were. Hopefully true though!

Anybody thinks Sandro might have something to do with his resolve to join us? I would think that he might have had better offers from elsewhere.

sorry if i'm taking this topic away from central focus.

When RVP's potential move away from les arse was being dsicussed they signed some high profile players (Podolski, Carzola, Giroud) which at the time pointed as a signall of intent to RVP to stay.

- was he the barganing chip?
- Or did it not matter as he'd publically declaired he was off?

Bale situation is somewhat different due to RVP public declaration to move, but i'm referencing anyway.

Bale is our bargaining chip. The only reason David Villa might come.

Yep. Selling Bale would look like we have no ambition at all. On the other hand, keeping him would make Spurs look like an attractive and exciting project to be part of. Plus they'd get to work with Freund every day.

This is one of the reasons why gareth is invaluable to us. Players want to come here while he is at spurs, he is just that good!

And adding players such as Paulinho & David Villa will make us even more attractive to potential targets, Villa especially, in my opinion.

Its been reported that AVB has been the one to convince him to join, if it happens, Graham Hunter was saying this before the season was over.

yeah i always thought it was strange that fernandinho cost that much, Paulinho so far is keeping him and ramires out of the brazil first team 11.

Is Ramires not injured then? I really like him, thought he'd be a dead cert for Brazil. Him, Sandro and Oscar would've been a quality trio if available.
