It's inevitable that another team would come in for him. The club keeps going on about the need to keep it quiet, well the best way to do that is to stop fucking around and pay up. The quicker you tie it up the less chance there is of being gazumped. If the issue is to do with 3rd party ownership then we might as well not bother. Fuck it and move onto someone else, we're just wasting our time.

We are going to get outbid like we do with most other talented prospects. Monaco has this one in the bag if you ask me. Oh well as I really feel like Paulinho could do a wonderful job in the middle of the pitch for us but a striker or two is what we need much more than a central midfielder who isn't a great passer of the ball. (more a box to box all arounder)

I really want this to happen just because it really makes me think hard about how our formation could shape up depending on the opponent. I think it's a pretty intriguing addition that would put a lot of tough choices on AVB's plate.

A nice problem to have though Snarf, preferable too "oh fuck i have to play a Huddlestone/Livermore combination" ;)

Suter's claiming it's all done bar the signing...

SO FUCKING SIGN IT PAULINHO

(providing it's not just a figment of Adam Suter's imagination)

If he has a £17m release clause why don't we just pay that to Corinthians and they can sort out how it's split?

As for Monaco I hope the French do ban them from playing in their league, would be the funniest thing ever.

I would've thought that Paulinho and/or Villa wouldn't sign until after the Confeds Cup. However, if we have got one of them signed in the next few days there would be pandemonium outside WHL.

Paulinho won't start in Brazil's next game apparently. Maybe we can get him to sign after all!

There's a reason Suter isn't allowed in the ITK thread or RO...
I concur.

However have you ever conducted a lengthy study of the veracity and ITKness of his twitterings between Feb 2012 and Sept 2012?
I have. So y'know, i'm ITK on how ITK he is ;)

Nope :) But I know he is full of hot air living on the façade that he supposedly called Holtby first.

Somebody intimated this elsewhere earlier on. Apparently Paulinho won't be playing because he's 'injured', but David Luiz is apparently going to play with a broken nose (conspiracy theorists delight)

To be fair, somebody pointed out that Paulinho took quite a knock on the ankle &, when it comes to playing football, there's a difference between a bad ankle and a bad nose (unless you're Gareth Southgate).
