I don't wanna put another downer on proceedings, but it's a bit unavoidable i'm afraid. The most likely looking scenario at the moment from tit bits and rumours, and i know they are just that, are that these two will be are new strike force next season for about £25 million.

The bad news is they quite frankly look more Mido and Zokora, than Berbs and Keane.

So is anyone looking forward to the mis controlled balls and poor first touches of our new Lurch and Bambi?Followed by hot under the collar cursing of our luck.

The thought is agony.I wish i hadn't brought it up.apologies.

Pavlyuchenko and Milito= a resounding 'meh'...

Defo a downgrade from Keano/Berbs.

The most likely at the mom. is still Berba and Keane, why? we havent sold them yet!!!!!

With the right service, I think Diego Milito could be prolific in the Prem.

I wouldn't disagree with that, and he may be a good partner for Keano in Berbs' absence. But C0YS is right--we've still got the best strike partnership in the premiership at the moment! :)

Everytime I read topics like this, I think how can we go in the space of one transfer window from having such an amazing strike partnership for 2 years, let down by poor service from midfield and end up having what's looking like being a brilliant midfield, with 2 or 3 pretty average strikers. Football works in mysterious ways.

Sod's Law? Or we are Tottenham and arn't allowed to have both area's of the pitch top class at the same time, cause then we might actually achieve something worthwhile.

Well, Bent is somewhat of an unknown quantity--at least for us. He's showed flashes, perhaps he will do better than everyone seems to expect when given the chance. However, this is only speculation because Keano and Berbs are still with us.

I like Milito. If he has the likes of Bale, Bentley and Modric supplying him, I think he'll do well.

I really think Pavluchenko would be a total flop in Premiership. I followed Russia throughout the Euros and with exception from a few goals he really didnt impress me.. I would rather go for Huntelaar which reminds me of a poor mans Berbatov but with potential to be great.

To be fair though even if we did sign these two it could be worse, it's hardly like we're going to buy Francis Jeffers and Trevor Benjamin. I'm confident that we won't let our strikers go until we've found a replacement that Ramos is happy with.
